An acronym for Chochmoh, Binah, Da'at (wisdom, understanding and knowledge); the name of a chassidic movement predicated on the concept of studying and understanding G-d and His relationship with the world founded by Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi in White Russia in the latter part of the 18th century. This movement is also known as Lubavitch, or Chabad-Lubavitch.
