BETH-MAACAH . A descriptive epithet of the city of Abel ( 2 Samuel 20:14-15 ), where ‘Abel and B.’ should be ‘Abel of B.’ (cf. 1 Kings 15:20 , 2 Kings 15:29 ). See Abel (of) Beth-Maacah.
