Missionary, born Montepulciano, Italy, 1577; died Mylapur, India, 1656. He entered the Society of Jesus, and labored in Madura, Mysore, and the Kamatic, adopting the mode of life of the Brahmins in his zeal for their conversion. He is the author of several apologetic and doctrinal works in Tamil, Telugu, and Sanskrit.
