"very expensive," translated "very precious" in Mark 14:3 , AV (RV, "very costly"): see COSTLY , B, No. 2.
"of great value;" comparative degree in 1 Peter 1:7; see COSTLY , B, No. 3, DEAR, No. 1 (for a less authentic reading).
