Nephew of Johannes Jakob Buxtorf; born Jan. 8, 1663; died June 19, 1732. He was professor of Hebrew at Basel, and published "Specimen PhraseologiƦ V. T. Hebr." (Frankfort-on-the-Main, 1717).
