One of "the sons of Annas" that had "strange wives" (I Esd. 9:32). The name can not be identified with any in the corresponding list of Ezra 10:32. It is, most probably, a combination of the last part of "Maluch" with the first part of "Shemariah," names found in the Ezra list, the remaining syllables of these names having been elided.
