Dutch financier and statesman; lived in the seventeenth century. In 1679 he settled in Amsterdam as financial agent of John III., King of Poland, a fact which hardly agrees with De Barrios' statement ("Panegyrico al Laureado Juan Tercero, Rey de Polonia") thatMolo was a Spanish Jew. He was held in high esteem on account of his ability in financial matters; and in recognition of the services which he had rendered to the Dutch state, he was exempted for two years from the payment of taxes. Molo's influence with the States General was so great that through his mediation Louis XIV. was enabled to conclude the treaty of Ryswick (1697).
