Scholar and poet of the tenth and eleventh centuries; probably a brother of R. Nathan, author of the "'Aruk." He wrote a commentary on the treatise Zera'im and a "yoẓer" in twenty-two verses for the Sabbath Ḥanukkah, in which he recounts the Antiochus story (MS. De Rossi No. 959). The forms he uses are those of the old payyeṭanim. See ḤANUKKAH.
