καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Ιωναθαν μηδαμῶς σοι, οὐ μὴ ἀποθάνῃς· ἰδοὺ οὐ μὴ ποιήσῃ ὁ πατήρ μου ῥῆμα μέγα ἢ μικρὸν καὶ οὐκ ἀποκαλύψει τὸ ὠτίον μου· καὶ τί ὅτι κρύψει ὁ πατήρ μου τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο οὐκ ἔστιν τοῦτο.

"Far from it!" Jonathan replied . "You will not die. Indeed -, my father does nothing, ... great or - small, without telling - me. So why would he hide this - matter from me? This cannot be true ...! "
English Standard Version
And he said to him Far from it You shall not die Behold my father does nothing either great or small without disclosing it to me And why should my father hide this from me It is not so

Jonathan said to him, "No, you won't die. Listen, my father doesn't do anything, great or small, without telling me. So why would he hide this matter from me? This can't be true."

And he said unto him, God forbid; thou shalt not die (8799): behold, my father will do ( nothing either great or small, but that he will shew it me: and why should my father hide this thing from me? it is not so.
