lî·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ

לִֽיהוֹשָׁפָ֛ט

in abundance

and joined affinity

way·yiṯ·ḥat·tên

וַיִּתְחַתֵּ֖ן

And he went down

[certain] years

lə·šō·mə·rō·wn,

לְשֹׁ֣מְר֔וֹן

way·yiz·baḥ-

וַיִּֽזְבַּֽח־

for him in abundance

that for the people

and persuaded him

way·sî·ṯê·hū

וַיְסִיתֵ֕הוּ

Ramoth-gilead

yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ

יְהֽוֹשָׁפָט֙

to Ramoth-gilead

And he answered

as you [are]

and my people

ū·ḵə·‘am·mə·ḵā

וּכְעַמְּךָ֣

as your people

wə·‘im·mə·ḵā

[we will be] you in the war

bam·mil·ḥā·māh.

בַּמִּלְחָמָֽה׃

yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ

יְהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט

and gathered together

וַיִּקְבֹּ֨ץ

Therefore the king

han·nə·ḇi·’îm

הַנְּבִאִים֮

Ramoth-gilead

lam·mil·ḥā·māh

לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה

shall I forbear

And they said

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ

and will deliver

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

of [it] into the king

yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ,

יְה֣וֹשָׁפָ֔ט

[Is there] a prophet

that we might inquire

wə·niḏ·rə·šāh

וְנִדְרְשָׁ֖ה

יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל ׀

yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ

יְהוֹשָׁפָ֡ט

[There is] one

by whom we may inquire

śə·nê·ṯî·hū,

שְׂנֵאתִ֗יהוּ

[is] Micaiah

yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ,

יְה֣וֹשָׁפָ֔ט

Let not the king

[of his] officers

Fetch quickly

(mî·ḵā·yə·hū

(מִיכָ֥יְהוּ

and the king

wî·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ

וִֽיהוֹשָׁפָ֣ט

yō·wō·šə·ḇîm

on his throne

mə·lub·bā·šîm

מְלֻבָּשִׁ֤ים

in [their] robes

and they sat

wə·yō·šə·ḇîm

וְיֹשְׁבִ֣ים

at the threshing

at the entering in

šō·mə·rō·wn;

the prophets

han·nə·ḇî·’îm,

הַ֨נְּבִיאִ֔ים

miṯ·nab·bə·’îm

מִֽתְנַבְּאִ֖ים

lip̄·nê·hem.

לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃

and had made

ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū

צִדְקִיָּ֥הוּ

of Chenaanah him

kə·na·‘ă·nāh

you shall push

they are consumed

kal·lō·w·ṯām.

כַּלּוֹתָֽם׃

the prophets

han·nə·ḇi·’îm,

הַ֨נְּבִאִ֔ים

to Ramoth-gilead

and shall deliver

for the LORD [it]

into the hand

and the messenger

wə·ham·mal·’āḵ

וְהַמַּלְאָ֞ךְ

lə·mî·ḵā·yə·hū,

לְמִיכָ֗יְהוּ

of the prophets

han·nə·ḇi·’îm

הַנְּבִאִ֛ים

[declare] good

let your word

and speak you

wə·ḏib·bar·tā

וְדִבַּ֥רְתָּ

mî·ḵā·yə·hū;

[As] the LORD

that will I speak

when he was come

Ramoth-gilead

lam·mil·ḥā·māh

לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה

shall I forbear

wə·haṣ·lî·ḥū,

וְהַצְלִ֔יחוּ

and they shall be delivered

wə·yin·nā·ṯə·nū

וְיִנָּתְנ֖וּ

into your hand

בְּיֶדְכֶֽם׃

maš·bî·‘e·ḵā;

מַשְׁבִּיעֶ֑ךָ

Then he said

nə·p̄ō·w·ṣîm

the mountains

let them return

[therefore] every man

to his house

bə·šā·lō·wm.

בְּשָׁלֽוֹם׃

yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ;

יְהוֹשָׁפָ֑ט

do [that] prophesy

and Again he said

haš·šā·ma·yim

הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙

his right hand

[on] and his left

ū·śə·mō·lōw.

וּשְׂמֹאלֽוֹ׃

shall entice

that he may go up

at Ramoth-gilead

after this manner

after that manner

Then there came out

way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ

וַֽיַּעֲמֹד֙

’ă·p̄at·ten·nū;

אֲפַתֶּ֑נּוּ

and said him

And the LORD

I will go out

וְהָיִ֙יתִי֙

in the mouth

his prophets

[the LORD] And said

you shall entice

and you shall also

[him] prevail

in the mouth

your prophets

Then came near

ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū

צִדְקִיָּ֣הוּ

of Chenaanah

kə·na·‘ă·nāh,

from me to speak

mî·ḵā·yə·hū,

you shall go

into an inner

lə·hê·ḥā·ḇê.

mî·ḵā·yə·hū,

and carry him back

wa·hă·šî·ḇu·hū

וַהֲשִׁיבֻ֖הוּ

the governor

wa·’ă·mar·tem,

וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֗ם

in the prison

wə·ha·’ă·ḵi·lu·hū

וְהַאֲכִלֻ֜הוּ

of affliction

and with water

of affliction

ḇə·šā·lō·wm.

mî·ḵā·yə·hū,

If you certainly

bə·šā·lō·wm,

[then] the LORD

wî·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ

וִֽיהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט

Ramoth-gilead

yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ,

יְהוֹשָׁפָ֗ט

I will disguise

הִתְחַפֵּשׂ֙

ḇam·mil·ḥā·māh,

בַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה

but put you on

on your robes

bə·ḡā·ḏe·ḵā;

and disguised

way·yiṯ·ḥap·pêś

וַיִּתְחַפֵּשׂ֙

and they went

way·yā·ḇō·’ū

bam·mil·ḥā·māh.

בַּמִּלְחָמָֽה׃

Now the king

had commanded

the captains

of the chariots

til·lā·ḥă·mū,

תִּלָּ֣חֲמ֔וּ

hag·gā·ḏō·wl;

And it came to pass

when the captains

of the chariots

yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ,

יְהוֹשָׁפָ֗ט

[is] the king

[is] Therefore they compassed

way·yā·sōb·bū

וַיָּסֹ֥בּוּ

lə·hil·lā·ḥêm;

but cried out

yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ

יְהֽוֹשָׁפָט֙

and moved him

and God them

For it came to pass

when the captains

of the chariots

and they turned back again

way·yā·šu·ḇū

וַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּ

from pursuing

mê·’a·ḥă·rāw.

מֵאַחֲרָֽיו׃

[certain] drew

בַּקֶּ֙שֶׁת֙

had·də·ḇā·qîm

הַדְּבָקִ֖ים

of the harness

haš·šir·yān;

הַשִּׁרְיָ֑ן

therefore he said

to the driver

that you may carry me out

wə·hō·w·ṣê·ṯa·nî

וְהוֹצֵאתַ֥נִי

ham·ma·ḥă·neh

הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖ה

I am wounded

hā·ḥo·lê·ṯî.

הָחֳלֵֽיתִי׃

And increased

ham·mil·ḥā·māh

הַמִּלְחָמָה֙

and however the king

[his] in chariot

bam·mer·kā·ḇāh

בַּמֶּרְכָּבָ֛ה

about the time

הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃
