הַדְּבָרִ֤ים

and the establishment

wə·hā·’ĕ·meṯ

hab·bə·ṣu·rō·wṯ,

הַבְּצֻר֔וֹת

to break them

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū,

יְחִזְקִיָּ֔הוּ

that Sennacherib

that he was purposed

lam·mil·ḥā·māh

לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה

yə·rū·šā·lim.

יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

and He took counsel

way·yiw·wā·‘aṣ,

וַיִּוָּעַ֗ץ

and his mighty men

wə·ḡib·bō·rāw,

וְגִבֹּרָ֔יו

of the fountains

hā·‘ă·yā·nō·wṯ,

and they did help

way·ya‘·zə·rū·hū.

וַֽיַּעְזְרֽוּהוּ׃

so there was gathered

way·yiq·qā·ḇə·ṣū

וַיִּקָּבְצ֣וּ

way·yis·tə·mū

וַֽיִּסְתְּמוּ֙

the fountains

ham·ma‘·yā·nō·wṯ,

הַמַּעְיָנ֔וֹת

haš·šō·w·ṭêp̄

through the middle

should the kings

and Also he strengthened himself

way·yiṯ·ḥaz·zaq

וַיִּתְחַזַּ֡ק

and build up

that was broken [it]

hap·pə·rū·ṣāh

הַפְּרוּצָ֜ה

and raised up

ham·miḡ·dā·lō·wṯ,

הַמִּגְדָּל֗וֹת

wə·la·ḥū·ṣāh

וְלַח֙וּצָה֙

and repaired

ham·mil·lō·w

[in] the city

ū·mā·ḡin·nîm.

וּמָגִנִּֽים׃

mil·ḥā·mō·wṯ

and gathered them together

way·yiq·bə·ṣêm

וַיִּקְבְּצֵ֣ם

and courageous

be not afraid

ū·mil·lip̄·nê

וּמִלִּפְנֵ֖י

the multitude

[there be] more us

[is] him an arm

wə·‘im·mā·nū

אֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙

lə·‘ā·zə·rê·nū,

לְעָזְרֵ֔נוּ

and to fight

ū·lə·hil·lā·ḥêm

וּלְהִלָּחֵ֖ם

mil·ḥă·mō·ṯê·nū;

מִלְחֲמֹתֵ֑נוּ

And rested themselves

way·yis·sā·mə·ḵū

וַיִּסָּמְכ֣וּ

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū

יְחִזְקִיָּ֥הוּ

did Sennacherib

his servants

to Jerusalem

yə·rū·šā·lay·māh,

יְר֣וּשָׁלַ֔יְמָה

[himself laid siege] Lachish

מֶמְשַׁלְתּ֖וֹ

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū

יְחִזְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙

at Jerusalem

bî·rū·šā·lim

בִּירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם

that you abide

wə·yō·šə·ḇîm

וְיֹשְׁבִ֥ים

in Jerusalem

bî·rū·šā·lim.

בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

Is not Hezekiah

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū

יְחִזְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙

to give over

yourselves to die

and by thirst

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū,

shall deliver us

yaṣ·ṣî·lê·nū

יַצִּילֵ֕נוּ

out of the hand

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū,

יְחִזְקִיָּ֔הוּ

his high places

miz·bə·ḥō·ṯāw;

מִזְבְּחֹתָ֑יו

and commanded

and Jerusalem

wə·lî·rū·šā·lim

וְלִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙

you shall worship

tiš·ta·ḥă·wū

תִּֽשְׁתַּחֲו֖וּ

burn incense

תַּקְטִֽירוּ׃

and my fathers

wa·’ă·ḇō·w·ṯay,

hā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ;

any ways able

Were the gods

of the nations

of those lands

hā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ,

from my hand

[was there] the gods

hag·gō·w·yim

utterly destroyed

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯay,

out of my hand

should be able

that your God

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem,

אֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם

out of my hand

therefore not

do let deceive

Hezekiah you

ḥiz·qî·yā·hū

חִזְקִיָּ֜הוּ

on this manner

תַּאֲמִ֣ינוּ

ū·mam·lā·ḵāh,

וּמַמְלָכָ֔ה

from my hand

and out of the hand

of my fathers

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯāy;

how much less

shall your God

’ĕlō·hê·ḵem,

אֱ‍ֽלֹהֵיכֶ֔ם

out of my hand

his servants

[more] the LORD

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm;

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū

יְחִזְקִיָּ֥הוּ

also letters

ū·sə·p̄ā·rîm

and to speak

of the nations

[other] of lands

hā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ

do delivered

their people

from my hand

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū

יְחִזְקִיָּ֛הוּ

from my hand

Then they cried

way·yiq·rə·’ū

וַיִּקְרְא֨וּ

in the Jew speech

of Jerusalem

yə·rū·šā·lim

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙

ha·ḥō·w·māh,

to frighten them

lə·yā·rə·’ām

and to trouble them

ū·lə·ḇa·hă·lām;

וּֽלְבַהֲלָ֑ם

to the end that

they might take

And they spoke

way·ḏab·bə·rū,

וַֽיְדַבְּר֔וּ

of Jerusalem

yə·rū·šā·lim;

יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם

of the people

of the earth

[which were] the work

of the hands

way·yiṯ·pal·lêl

וַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֞ל

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū

יְחִזְקִיָּ֣הוּ

wî·ša‘·yā·hū

וִֽישַֽׁעְיָ֧הוּ

way·yiz·‘ă·qū

וַֽיִּזְעֲק֖וּ

haš·šā·mā·yim.

הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃

וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח

and that cut off

and the leaders

and captains

bə·ma·ḥă·nêh

so he returned

to his own land

when he was come into

[ū·mî·ṣî·’ōw

[וּמִיצִיאֹו

they who came forth

(וּמִֽיצִיאֵ֣י

of his own him

hip·pî·lu·hū

הִפִּילֻ֥הוּ

with the sword

way·yō·wō·ša‘

Thus the LORD

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū

יְחִזְקִיָּ֜הוּ

the inhabitants

of Jerusalem

yə·rū·šā·lim,

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם

from the hand

of Sennacherib

and from the hand

[other] and guided them

way·na·hă·lêm

וַֽיְנַהֲלֵ֖ם

on every side

at Jerusalem

lî·rū·šā·lim,

לִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

and presents

ū·miḡ·dā·nō·wṯ,

וּמִ֨גְדָּנ֔וֹת

lî·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū

לִֽיחִזְקִיָּ֖הוּ

so that he was magnified

way·yin·naś·śê

וַיִּנַּשֵּׂ֛א

in the sight

hag·gō·w·yim

from thereafter

mê·’a·ḥă·rê-

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū

יְחִזְקִיָּ֖הוּ

way·yiṯ·pal·lêl

וַיִּתְפַּלֵּל֙

and he spoke

for the benefit

rendered not again

But Hezekiah him

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū,

יְחִזְקִיָּ֔הוּ

was lifted up

[done] his heart

therefore there was

wî·rū·šā·lim.

וִירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

way·yik·kā·na‘

וַיִּכָּנַ֤ע

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū

יְחִזְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙

for the pride

of his heart

[both] and the inhabitants

of Jerusalem

yə·rū·šā·lim;

יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם

so that the wrath

on them in the days

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū.

יְחִזְקִיָּֽהוּ׃

Now Hezekiah

lî·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū

לִֽיחִזְקִיָּ֛הוּ

and himself treasuries

wə·’ō·ṣā·rō·wṯ

וְאֹֽצָר֣וֹת

for precious

and for spices

wə·liḇ·śā·mîm

וְלִבְשָׂמִים֙

ū·lə·mā·ḡin·nîm,

וּלְמָ֣גִנִּ֔ים

for all manner

and Storehouses

ū·mis·kə·nō·wṯ,

וּמִ֨סְכְּנ֔וֹת

also for the increase

wə·ṯî·rō·wōš

wə·’u·rā·wōṯ

and of livestock

ū·ḇə·hê·māh,

and for flocks

wa·‘ă·ḏā·rîm

lā·’ă·wê·rō·wṯ.

לָאֲוֵרֽוֹת׃

Moreover he provided

and possessions

in abundance

and This same

It was Hezekiah

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū,

יְחִזְקִיָּ֗הוּ

also stopped

of the waters

hā·‘el·yō·wn,

הָֽעֶלְי֔וֹן

and brought it straight

way·yayš·šə·rêm

וַֽיַּישְּׁרֵ֥ם

to the west side

And prospered

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū

יְחִזְקִיָּ֖הוּ

ma·‘ă·śê·hū.

מַעֲשֵֽׂהוּ׃

[the business of] in the ambassadors

בִּמְלִיצֵ֣י ׀

of the princes

ham·šal·lə·ḥîm

הַֽמְשַׁלְּחִ֤ים

of the wonder

ham·mō·w·p̄êṯ

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm;

הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים

lə·nas·sō·w·ṯōw,

לְנַ֨סּוֹת֔וֹ

who He might know

[that was] in his heart

בִּלְבָבֽוֹ׃

Now the rest

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū

יְחִזְקִיָּ֖הוּ

and his covenant loyalty

wa·ḥă·sā·ḏāw;

[are] they written

in the vision

yə·ša‘·yā·hū

יְשַֽׁעְיָ֤הוּ

of the Kings

wə·yiś·rā·’êl.

וְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

וַיִּשְׁכַּ֨ב

yə·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū

יְחִזְקִיָּ֜הוּ

and they buried him

way·yiq·bə·ru·hū

וַֽיִּקְבְּרֻהוּ֮

in the most chief

bə·ma·‘ă·lêh

בְּֽמַעֲלֵה֮

of the sepulchers

of David him

at his death

ḇə·mō·w·ṯōw,

and the inhabitants

of Jerusalem

yə·rū·šā·lim;

יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם

וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ

in his place

תַּחְתָּֽיו׃
