and his cupbearers

וּמַשְׁקָיו֙

and their apparel

וּמַלְבּ֣וּשֵׁיהֶ֔ם

and his stairway

wa·‘ă·lî·yā·ṯōw,

וַעֲלִיָּת֔וֹ

שָׁמַ֖עְתִּי

in my own land

ḥā·ḵə·mā·ṯe·ḵā.

חָכְמָתֶֽךָ׃

do however I believed

he·’ĕ·man·tî

הֶאֱמַ֣נְתִּי

lə·ḏiḇ·rê·hem,

לְדִבְרֵיהֶ֗ם

and had seen

wat·tir·’e·nāh

וַתִּרְאֶ֣ינָה

the one half

of the greatness

of your wisdom

ḥā·ḵə·mā·ṯe·ḵā;

haš·šə·mū·‘āh

הַשְּׁמוּעָ֖ה

šā·mā·‘ə·tî.

שָׁמָֽעְתִּי׃

’ă·nā·še·ḵā,

and happy [are]

your servants

hā·‘ō·mə·ḏîm

lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā

continually you

wə·šō·mə·‘îm

וְשֹׁמְעִ֖ים

ḥā·ḵə·mā·ṯe·ḵā.

חָכְמָתֶֽךָ׃

lə·ṯit·tə·ḵā

on his throne

’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā;

bə·’a·hă·ḇaṯ

because your God

to establish them

lə·ha·‘ă·mî·ḏōw

לְהַעֲמִיד֣וֹ

lə·‘ō·w·lām,

therefore made

way·yit·ten·ḵā

וַיִּתֶּנְךָ֤

he you king them

ū·ṣə·ḏā·qāh.

And she gave

וְעֶשְׂרִ֣ים ׀

and of spices

וּבְשָׂמִ֛ים

וַֽתַּהֲפֹ֛ךְ

and went away

to her own land

and her servants

wa·‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·hā.

וַעֲבָדֶֽיהָ׃

Now the weight

וְשִׁשִּׁ֥ים

that which the traders

and merchants

wə·has·sō·ḥă·rîm

וְהַסֹּחֲרִ֖ים

and governors

of the country

לִשְׁלֹמֹֽה׃

[shekels] of beaten

[made he of] beaten

[shekels] of gold

way·yit·tə·nêm

וַיִּתְּנֵ֣ם

the king them

in the house

of the forest

hal·lə·ḇā·nō·wn.

הַלְּבָנֽוֹן׃

Moreover the king

and overlaid

way·ṣap·pê·hū

וַיְצַפֵּ֖הוּ

הַֽמַּעֲל֖וֹת

and on the other

the drinking

[were of] gold

of the house

of the forest

hal·lə·ḇā·nō·wn

הַלְּבָנ֖וֹן

[were of] pure

[were of] silver

[not] it was anything

לִמְאֽוּמָה׃

For the king

תַּרְשִׁ֔ישׁ

the servants

lə·šā·lō·wōš

תָּב֣וֹאנָה ׀

תַּרְשִׁ֗ישׁ

שֶׁנְהַבִּ֥ים

wə·qō·w·p̄îm

and peacocks

wə·ṯū·kî·yîm.

וְתוּכִּיִּֽים׃

וַיִּגְדַּל֙

of the earth

wə·ḥā·ḵə·māh.

of the earth

מְבַקְשִׁ֖ים

the presence

ḥā·ḵə·mā·ṯōw,

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

in his heart

and garments

ū·śə·lā·mō·wṯ

וּשְׂלָמוֹת֙

ū·ḇə·śā·mîm,

וּבְשָׂמִ֔ים

ū·p̄ə·rā·ḏîm;

and chariots

ū·mar·kā·ḇō·wṯ,

וּמַרְכָּב֔וֹת

and whom he bestowed

way·yan·nî·ḥêm

וַיַּנִּיחֵם֙

in the chariot

in Jerusalem

bî·rū·šā·lim.

בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

He was the ruler

ham·mə·lā·ḵîm;

הַמְּלָכִ֑ים

even to the land

of the Philistines

פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים

in Jerusalem

bî·rū·šā·lim

בִּירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם

kā·’ă·ḇā·nîm;

כָּאֲבָנִ֑ים

hā·’ă·rā·zîm,

כַּשִּׁקְמִ֥ים

in the low plains

baš·šə·p̄ê·lāh

בַּשְּׁפֵלָ֖ה

as plentiful

and they brought

ū·mō·w·ṣî·’îm

וּמוֹצִיאִ֨ים

mim·miṣ·ra·yim

מִמִּצְרַ֛יִם

and out of all

hā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ.

הָאֲרָצֽוֹת׃

Now the rest

hā·ri·šō·nîm

הָרִאשֹׁנִ֖ים

wə·hā·’ă·ḥă·rō·w·nîm;

וְהָאֲחֲרוֹנִ֑ים

the prophecy

haš·šî·lō·w·nî,

הַשִּֽׁילוֹנִ֗י

and in the visions

ū·ḇa·ḥă·zō·wṯ

yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām

וַיִּמְלֹ֨ךְ

in Jerusalem

ḇî·rū·šā·lim

בִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֛ם

אַרְבָּעִ֥ים

וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב

and he was buried

way·yiq·bə·ru·hū,

וַֽיִּקְבְּרֻ֔הוּ

וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ

in his place

תַּחְתָּֽיו׃
