אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

to Jerusalem

יְרֽוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙

is accomplished her

that her iniquity

she has received

ḥaṭ·ṭō·ṯe·hā.

חַטֹּאתֶֽיהָ׃

of him who cries

in the wilderness

בַּמִּדְבָּ֕ר

make straight

in the wilderness

bā·‘ă·rā·ḇāh,

lê·lō·hê·nū.

לֵאלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

shall be exalted

shall be made low

יִשְׁפָּ֑לוּ

and shall be made

lə·mî·šō·wr,

and the rough places

wə·hā·rə·ḵā·sîm

וְהָרְכָסִ֖ים

And shall be revealed

And shall see

the covenant loyalty

[is] thereof as the flower

of the field

but the word

lə·‘ō·w·lām.

the mountain

that bring good news

mə·ḇaś·śe·reṯ

מְבַשֶּׂ֣רֶת

with strength

of good news

mə·ḇaś·śe·reṯ

מְבַשֶּׂ֖רֶת

O Jerusalem [it]

yə·rū·šā·lim;

יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם

be not afraid

to the cities

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem.

אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

[hand] and his arm

and his work

ū·p̄ə·‘ul·lā·ṯōw

וּפְעֻלָּת֖וֹ

He shall feed

like a shepherd

he shall gather

[them] in his bosom

those who are with young

shall gently lead

has measured

in the hollow

bə·šā·‘o·lōw

בְּשָׁעֳל֜וֹ

wə·šā·ma·yim

וְשָׁמַ֙יִם֙

and comprehended

by the measure

בַּשָּׁלִ֖שׁ

of the earth

in a balance

the mountains

and the hills

ū·ḡə·ḇā·‘ō·wṯ

in a pair of scales

bə·mō·zə·nā·yim.

בְּמֹאזְנָֽיִם׃

has directed

or his counselor

yō·w·ḏî·‘en·nū.

יוֹדִיעֶֽנּוּ׃

took he counsel

[who] and instructed him

way·ḇî·nê·hū,

וַיְבִינֵ֔הוּ

and taught him

way·lam·mə·ḏê·hū

וַֽיְלַמְּדֵ֖הוּ

and taught him

way·lam·mə·ḏê·hū

וַיְלַמְּדֵ֣הוּ

and to him the way

of understanding

yō·w·ḏî·‘en·nū.

יוֹדִיעֶֽנּוּ׃

the nations [are]

from a bucket

and as the small dust

on the scales

mō·zə·na·yim

as a very little thing

ū·lə·ḇā·nō·wn

and the beasts

wə·ḥay·yā·ṯōw,

thereof sufficient

for a burnt offering

hag·gō·w·yim

by Him as less

and vanity [are]

and they are counted

then will you liken

tə·ḏam·mə·yūn

תְּדַמְּי֣וּן

will you compare

a graven image

and the goldsmith

spreads it over

yə·raq·qə·‘en·nū;

יְרַקְּעֶ֑נּוּ

ū·rə·ṯu·qō·wṯ

he who so impoverished

הַֽמְסֻכָּ֣ן

that he has no offering

do [that] rot

to him a cunning

a graven image

do [that] be moved

Have you not

have you not

do been told

to you from the beginning

have you not

do understood

hă·ḇî·nō·ṯem,

הֲבִ֣ינֹתֶ֔ם

from the foundations

of the earth

[It is] he who sits

of the earth

and the inhabitants [are]

wə·yō·šə·ḇe·hā

וְיֹשְׁבֶ֖יהָ

thereof as grasshoppers

ka·ḥă·ḡā·ḇîm;

כַּחֲגָבִ֑ים

that stretches out

han·nō·w·ṭeh

as a curtain

and spreads them out

way·yim·tā·ḥêm

וַיִּמְתָּחֵ֥ם

han·nō·w·ṯên

of the earth

do be planted

do take root

in the earth

and he shall also

and they shall wither

way·yi·ḇā·šū,

וַיִּבָ֔שׁוּ

and the whirlwind

shall take them away

תִּשָּׂאֵֽם׃

then will you liken me

ṯə·ḏam·mə·yū·nî

תְדַמְּי֖וּנִי

or shall I be equal

the Holy One

[things] that brings out

their host them

of the greatness

of his might

[he is] for that strong

of [His] power

ū·ṯə·ḏab·bêr

from the LORD

and of my God

ū·mê·’ĕ·lō·hay

וּמֵאֱלֹהַ֖י

מִשְׁפָּטִ֥י

is passed over

ya·‘ă·ḇō·wr.

have you not

[that] The Everlasting

of the earth

[there is] searching

of his understanding

liṯ·ḇū·nā·ṯōw.

לִתְבוּנָתֽוֹ׃

to the weary

[them that have] might

he increases

and shall faint

wə·yi·‘ă·p̄ū

Even the youths

and be weary

wə·yi·ḡā·‘ū;

and the young men

וּבַחוּרִ֖ים

shall utterly

yik·kā·šê·lū.

יִכָּשֵֽׁלוּ׃

But they who wait on

ya·ḥă·lî·p̄ū

[their] strength

they shall mount up

kan·nə·šā·rîm;

כַּנְּשָׁרִ֑ים

they shall run

they shall walk
