you that follow after

righteousness

you that seek

[whence] you are cut

ḥuṣ·ṣaḇ·tem,

חֻצַּבְתֶּ֔ם

[whence] you are dug

nuq·qar·tem.

נֻקַּרְתֶּֽם׃

tə·ḥō·w·lel·ḵem;

תְּחוֹלֶלְכֶ֑ם

and blessed him

wa·’ă·ḇā·rə·ḵê·hū

וַאֲבָרְכֵ֖הוּ

and increased

wə·’ar·bê·hū.

וְאַרְבֵּֽהוּ׃

shall comfort

he will comfort

waste places

ḥā·rə·ḇō·ṯe·hā,

חָרְבֹתֶ֔יהָ

and he will make her

מִדְבָּרָהּ֙

and her wilderness

wə·‘ar·ḇā·ṯāh

וְעַרְבָתָ֖הּ

like the garden

and gladness

shall be found

thanksgiving

and the voice

הַקְשִׁ֤יבוּ

my people me

וּלְאוּמִּ֖י

ha·’ă·zî·nū;

shall proceed me

and I will make my judgment

ū·miš·pā·ṭî,

וּמִשְׁפָּטִ֔י

of the people

אַרְגִּֽיעַ׃

My righteousness

is gone forth

my salvation

יִשְׁפֹּ֑טוּ

shall wait me

shall they trust

yə·ya·ḥê·lūn.

יְיַחֵלֽוּן׃

laš·šā·ma·yim

לַשָּׁמַ֨יִם

wə·hab·bî·ṭū

וְֽהַבִּ֧יטוּ

shall vanish away

and the earth

wə·hā·’ā·reṣ

like a garment

shall become old

and they who dwell

wə·yō·šə·ḇe·hā

וְיֹשְׁבֶ֖יהָ

therein shall die

but my salvation

וִישֽׁוּעָתִי֙

and my righteousness

wə·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯî

וְצִדְקָתִ֖י

do be abolished

you that know

righteousness

in whose heart you

the reproach

and of their revilings

ū·mig·gid·du·p̄ō·ṯām

וּמִגִּדֻּפֹתָ֖ם

be you afraid

like a garment

shall eat them up

For the moth them

wə·ḵaṣ·ṣe·mer

but my righteousness

wə·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯî

וְצִדְקָתִי֙

my salvation

וִישׁוּעָתִ֖י

from generation

to generation

as in the days

as in the ancient

in the generations

‘ō·w·lā·mîm;

that has cut

ham·maḥ·ṣe·ḇeṯ

הַמַּחְצֶ֥בֶת

mə·ḥō·w·le·leṯ

that has dried

ham·ma·ḥă·re·ḇeṯ

הַמַּחֲרֶ֣בֶת

of the great

that has made

ma·‘ă·maq·qê-

מַֽעֲמַקֵּי־

for the ransomed

גְּאוּלִֽים׃

Therefore the redeemed

shall return

[shall be] their head

they shall obtain

יַשִּׂיג֔וּן

shall flee away

and mourning

wa·’ă·nā·ḥāh.

[am] that comforts

mə·na·ḥem·ḵem;

מְנַחֶמְכֶ֑ם

[are] that you should be afraid

wat·tî·rə·’î

וַתִּֽירְאִי֙

mê·’ĕ·nō·wōš

[that] shall die

and of the son

[which] shall be made

וַתִּשְׁכַּ֞ח

that has stretched forth

and laid the foundations

of the earth

and have feared

wat·tə·p̄a·ḥêḏ

of the oppressor

לְהַשְׁחִ֑ית

[is] the fury

of the oppressor

The captive exile

that he may be loosed

lə·hip·pā·ṯê·aḥ;

לְהִפָּתֵ֑חַ

in the dungeon

that his bread

’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā,

that divided

way·ye·hĕ·mū

[is] his name

And I have put

in your mouth

and you in the shadow

I have covered

kis·sî·ṯî·ḵā;

כִּסִּיתִ֑יךָ

to establish

and lay the foundations

of the earth

to Zion [are]

hiṯ·‘ō·wr·rî

הִתְעוֹרְרִ֣י

hiṯ·‘ō·wr·rî,

הִֽתְעוֹרְרִ֗י

yə·rū·šā·lim,

יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

of trembling

hat·tar·‘ê·lāh

הַתַּרְעֵלָ֛ה

you have drunken

[them] wrung out

[whom] she has brought forth

[that] she has brought up

[things] have come

qō·rə·’ō·ṯa·yiḵ,

קֹֽרְאֹתַ֔יִךְ

shall be sorry

for thee? desolation

and destruction

wə·haš·še·ḇer

וְהַשֶּׁ֛בֶר

and the famine

wə·hā·rā·‘āḇ

and the sword

wə·ha·ḥe·reḇ

shall I comfort

’ă·na·ḥă·mêḵ.

אֲנַחֲמֵֽךְ׃

have fainted

as a wild bull

הַֽמְלֵאִ֥ים

’ĕ·lō·hā·yiḵ.

אֱלֹהָֽיִךְ׃

’ă·ḏō·na·yiḵ

and your God

wê·lō·ha·yiḵ

וֵאלֹהַ֙יִךְ֙

[that] pleads the cause

of his people

I have taken

out of your hand

of trembling

hat·tar·‘ê·lāh;

הַתַּרְעֵלָ֑ה

[even] the dregs

liš·tō·w·ṯāh

לִשְׁתּוֹתָ֖הּ

But I will put

wə·śam·tî·hā

וְשַׂמְתִּ֙יהָ֙

it into the hand

of your tormentors you

mō·w·ḡa·yiḵ,

to your soul

לְנַפְשֵׁ֖ךְ

that we may go over

wə·na·‘ă·ḇō·rāh;

וְנַעֲבֹ֑רָה

and you have laid

wat·tā·śî·mî

וַתָּשִׂ֤ימִי

as the ground

and as the street

to those who went over

la·‘ō·ḇə·rîm.

לַעֹבְרִֽים׃
