וְאָמַרְתָּ֣

Then shall keep

wə·šā·ḇə·ṯāh

you shall sow

you shall prune

your vineyard

wə·’ā·sap̄·tā

וְאָסַפְתָּ֖

tə·ḇū·’ā·ṯāh.

תְּבוּאָתָֽהּ׃

But in the year

ū·ḇaš·šā·nāh

וּבַשָּׁנָ֣ה

haš·šə·ḇî·‘iṯ,

הַשְּׁבִיעִ֗ת

šab·bā·ṯō·wn

for the LORD

and your vineyard

wə·ḵar·mə·ḵā

that which grows of its own accord

of your harvest

of your undressed vine

[for] a year

šab·bā·ṯō·wn

And shall be

wə·hā·yə·ṯāh

and for your servant

ū·lə·‘aḇ·də·ḵā

וּלְעַבְדְּךָ֣

and for your maid

wə·la·’ă·mā·ṯe·ḵā;

וְלַאֲמָתֶ֑ךָ

and for your hired servant

wə·liś·ḵî·rə·ḵā

וְלִשְׂכִֽירְךָ֙

for the stranger

ū·lə·ṯō·wō·šā·ḇə·ḵā,

וּלְתוֹשָׁ֣בְךָ֔

that sojournes

And for your livestock

wə·liḇ·hem·tə·ḵā,

וְלִ֨בְהֶמְתְּךָ֔

that for the beasts

wə·la·ḥay·yāh

וְלַֽחַיָּ֖ה

in your land

bə·’ar·ṣe·ḵā;

בְּאַרְצֶ֑ךָ

the increase

tə·ḇū·’ā·ṯāh

תְּבוּאָתָ֖הּ

And you shall number

wə·sā·p̄ar·tā

וְסָפַרְתָּ֣

that shall be

of the seven

wə·’ar·bā·‘îm

וְאַרְבָּעִ֖ים

Then shall you cause to sound

wə·ha·‘ă·ḇar·tā

וְהַֽעֲבַרְתָּ֞

of the jubilee

on the month

haš·šə·ḇi·‘î,

הַשְּׁבִעִ֔י

on the tenth [day]

of the month

of atonement

hak·kip·pu·rîm,

הַכִּפֻּרִ֔ים

you shall sound

תַּעֲבִ֥ירוּ

throughout all

And you shall hallow

wə·qid·daš·tem,

וְקִדַּשְׁתֶּ֗ם

ha·ḥă·miš·šîm

הַחֲמִשִּׁים֙

and proclaim

throughout the land

the inhabitants

yō·šə·ḇe·hā;

and you shall return

וְשַׁבְתֶּ֗ם

his possession

’ă·ḥuz·zā·ṯōw,

and every man

מִשְׁפַּחְתּ֖וֹ

you shall return

ha·ḥă·miš·šîm

הַחֲמִשִּׁ֥ים

shall you sow

that which grows of itself

sə·p̄î·ḥe·hā,

of your undressed vine

nə·zi·re·hā.

you shall eat

the increase

tə·ḇū·’ā·ṯāh.

תְּבוּאָתָֽהּ׃

hay·yō·w·ḇêl

you shall return

his possession

’ă·ḥuz·zā·ṯōw.

אֲחֻזָּתֽוֹ׃

to your neighbor

la·‘ă·mî·ṯe·ḵā,

לַעֲמִיתֶ֔ךָ

from the hand

of your neighbor

‘ă·mî·ṯe·ḵā;

shall you oppress

According to the number

בְּמִסְפַּ֤ר

hay·yō·w·ḇêl,

you shall buy

from your neighbor

‘ă·mî·ṯe·ḵā;

according to the number

בְּמִסְפַּ֥ר

of the fruits

he shall sell

In proportion

to the multitude

you shall increase

and according to

to the fewness

you shall diminish

[it is] a number

[of the years] of the fruits

therefore oppress

but you shall fear

mê·’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā;

מֵֽאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem.

אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

and you shall do

wa·‘ă·śî·ṯem

וַעֲשִׂיתֶם֙

my judgments

מִשְׁפָּטַ֥י

תִּשְׁמְר֖וּ

wa·‘ă·śî·ṯem

וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֣ם

and you shall dwell

וִֽישַׁבְתֶּ֥ם

And shall yield

wə·nā·ṯə·nāh

and you shall eat

wa·’ă·ḵal·tem

וַאֲכַלְתֶּ֖ם

וִֽישַׁבְתֶּ֥ם

you shall say

shall we eat

haš·šə·ḇî·‘iṯ;

הַשְּׁבִיעִ֑ת

shall we sow

our increase

tə·ḇū·’ā·ṯê·nū.

תְּבוּאָתֵֽנוּ׃

Then I will command

wə·ṣiw·wî·ṯî

וְצִוִּ֤יתִי

in the sixth

haš·šiš·šîṯ;

הַשִּׁשִּׁ֑ית

and it shall bring forth

hat·tə·ḇū·’āh,

הַתְּבוּאָ֔ה

הַשָּׁנִֽים׃

and you shall sow

ū·zə·ra‘·tem,

וּזְרַעְתֶּ֗ם

haš·šə·mî·niṯ,

הַשְּׁמִינִ֔ת

wa·’ă·ḵal·tem

וַאֲכַלְתֶּ֖ם

hat·tə·ḇū·’āh

הַתְּבוּאָ֣ה

hat·tə·šî·‘iṯ,

הַתְּשִׁיעִ֗ת

tə·ḇū·’ā·ṯāh,

תְּב֣וּאָתָ֔הּ

you shall eat

[of] the old

and The land

wə·hā·’ā·reṣ,

shall be sold

the land [is]

and sojourners

wə·ṯō·wō·šā·ḇîm

וְתוֹשָׁבִ֛ים

of your possession

’ă·ḥuz·zaṯ·ḵem;

אֲחֻזַּתְכֶ֑ם

a redemption

you shall grant

becomes poor

your brother

and has sold away

[some] of his possession

mê·’ă·ḥuz·zā·ṯōw;

מֵאֲחֻזָּת֑וֹ

if any of his kin

then shall he redeem

that which sold

but so recovers

wə·hiś·śî·ḡāh

וְהִשִּׂ֣יגָה

and as to find

ḡə·’ul·lā·ṯōw.

גְאֻלָּתֽוֹ׃

Then let him count

that he may return

to his property

la·’ă·ḥuz·zā·ṯōw.

לַאֲחֻזָּתֽוֹ׃

has attained

then shall remain

in the hands

of him who has bought

hay·yō·w·ḇêl;

and it shall go out

in the jubilee

and he shall return

to his property

la·’ă·ḥuz·zā·ṯōw.

לַאֲחֻזָּתֽוֹ׃

then remains

wə·hā·yə·ṯāh

his redemption

gə·’ul·lā·ṯōw,

גְּאֻלָּת֔וֹ

from its sale

[within] a full year

ḡə·’ul·lā·ṯōw.

גְאֻלָּתֽוֹ׃

it is redeemed

then shall be established

laṣ·ṣə·mî·ṯuṯ

לַצְּמִיתֻ֛ת

to its purchaser

throughout his generations

lə·ḏō·rō·ṯāw;

does it revert

in the jubilee

But the houses

of the villages

ha·ḥă·ṣê·rîm,

of the country

shall be counted

in the jubilee

ū·ḇay·yō·ḇêl

they shall go out

But the cities

of the Levites

for the houses

of the cities

of their possession

’ă·ḥuz·zā·ṯām;

לַלְוִיִּֽם׃

And if a man

that shall go out

then the house

and the city

of his possession

’ă·ḥuz·zā·ṯōw

in the jubilee

of the cities

of the Levites

[are] their possession

’ă·ḥuz·zā·ṯām,

the children

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

But the field

around the towns

of their cities

shall be sold

becomes poor

your brother

and fallen in decay

then you shall relieve

wə·he·ḥĕ·zaq·tā

וְהֶֽחֱזַ֣קְתָּ

as a stranger

or a sojourner

wə·ṯō·wō·šāḇ

that he may live

but increase

וְתַרְבִּ֔ית

mê·’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā;

מֵֽאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ

that may live

your brother

shall you give

for increase

ū·ḇə·mar·bîṯ

וּבְמַרְבִּ֖ית

make a profit

on your food

’ā·ḵə·le·ḵā.

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem,

אֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם

brought forth

out of the land

becomes poor

your brother

as a bondservant

[But] as a hired servant

as if a sojourner

kə·ṯō·wō·šāḇ

he shall serve

Then shall depart

and his children

and shall return

miš·paḥ·tōw,

מִשְׁפַּחְתּ֔וֹ

the possession

of his fathers

shall he return

I brought forth

out of the land

shall they be sold

yim·mā·ḵə·rū

with severity

but you shall fear

mê·’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā.

מֵאֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃

and your slaves

wə·‘aḇ·də·ḵā

וְעַבְדְּךָ֥

and your bondmaids

wa·’ă·mā·ṯə·ḵā

you shall have

hag·gō·w·yim,

sə·ḇî·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem,

סְבִיבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם

shall you buy

and bondmaids

Moreover also

of the children

of the strangers

hat·tō·wō·šā·ḇîm

הַתּוֹשָׁבִ֜ים

that do sojourn

shall you buy

that of their families

ū·mim·miš·paḥ·tām

וּמִמִּשְׁפַּחְתָּם֙

they fathered

in your land

bə·’ar·ṣə·ḵem;

בְּאַרְצְכֶ֑ם

and they shall be

la·’ă·ḥuz·zāh.

לַֽאֲחֻזָּֽה׃

And you shall take as an inheritance

wə·hiṯ·na·ḥăl·tem

וְהִתְנַחֲלְתֶּ֨ם

for your children

’a·ḥă·rê·ḵem

a possession

shall be your slaves

ta·‘ă·ḇō·ḏū;

but over your brothers

ū·ḇə·’a·ḥê·ḵem

וּבְאַ֨חֵיכֶ֤ם

the children

over another

with severity

wə·ṯō·wō·šāḇ

but becomes poor

your brother

and sells himself

to the stranger

[or] sojourner

to the descendants

of the family

מִשְׁפַּ֥חַת

of the stranger

redeemed again

of his brothers

yiḡ·’ā·len·nū.

יִגְאָלֶֽנּוּ׃

of his uncle

may redeem him

yiḡ·’ā·len·nū,

יִגְאָלֶ֔נּוּ

[any] that is near

from his family

mim·miš·paḥ·tōw

מִמִּשְׁפַּחְתּ֖וֹ

may redeem him

yiḡ·’ā·len·nū;

יִגְאָלֶ֑נּוּ

or if he be able

then he may redeem

and he shall reckon

from the year

that he was sold

him·mā·ḵə·rōw

and shall be

to the number

בְּמִסְפַּ֣ר

according to the time

of a hired servant

[there be] many

בַּשָּׁנִ֑ים

in proportion

he shall give again

the price of his redemption

gə·’ul·lā·ṯōw,

גְּאֻלָּת֔וֹ

out of the money

that he was bought

there remain

בַּשָּׁנִ֛ים

then he shall count

In proportion

to his years

shall he give him again

the price of his redemption

gə·’ul·lā·ṯōw.

גְּאֻלָּתֽוֹ׃

a hired servant

shall he rule

יִרְדֶּ֥נּֽוּ

over him with severity

in your sight

lə·‘ê·ne·ḵā.

לְעֵינֶֽיךָ׃

he is redeemed

by these [years]

then he shall go out

and his children

servants [are]

I brought forth

out of the land

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem.

אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃
