And they rose up

way·yā·qu·mū

וַיָּקֻ֙מוּ֙

and with certain

wa·’ă·nā·šîm

וַאֲנָשִׁ֥ים

and two hundred

ū·mā·ṯā·yim;

of the assembly

in the assembly

And they gathered themselves together

way·yiq·qā·hă·lū

וַיִּֽקָּהֲל֞וּ

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ

the congregation

every one [are]

ū·ḇə·ṯō·w·ḵām

and the LORD

then lift you up yourselves

tiṯ·naś·śə·’ū

תִּֽתְנַשְּׂא֖וּ

the congregation

וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע

And he spoke

Even tomorrow

and will show

haq·qā·ḏō·wōš

[him] and will cause to come near

[him] he has chosen

will he cause to come near

upon them in the presence

and it shall be

[that] the man

[shall be] holy

haq·qā·ḏō·wōš;

[ye take] too much

[Seemeth it but] a small thing

has separated

from the congregation

and to stand

wə·la·‘ă·mōḏ

the congregation

lə·šā·rə·ṯām.

לְשָׁרְתָֽם׃

And he has brought you near

[to him] your brothers

ū·ḇiq·qaš·tem

וּבִקַּשְׁתֶּ֖ם

for the priesthood

For that cause

[both] your company [are]

‘ă·ḏā·ṯə·ḵā,

gathered together

han·nō·‘ā·ḏîm

הַנֹּעָדִ֖ים

and [is] Aaron

wə·’a·hă·rōn

[ṯil·lō·w·nū

וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח

wə·la·’ă·ḇî·rām

וְלַאֲבִירָ֖ם

and that said

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ

[Is it] a small thing

you have brought us up

he·‘ĕ·lî·ṯā·nū

הֶֽעֱלִיתָ֙נוּ֙

out of a land

to have us die

la·hă·mî·ṯê·nū

לַהֲמִיתֵ֖נוּ

in the wilderness

bam·miḏ·bār;

בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר

you make yourself altogether a prince

תִשְׂתָּרֵ֥ר

but you would also

הִשְׂתָּרֵֽר׃

you have not brought

hă·ḇî·’ō·ṯā·nū,

הֲבִ֣יאֹתָ֔נוּ

wat·tit·ten-

and vineyards

hā·’ă·nā·šîm

הָאֲנָשִׁ֥ים

will you put out

And was very angry

And they took

way·yit·tə·nū

וַיִּתְּנ֤וּ

וַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּ

וַֽיַּעַמְד֗וּ

and with Moses

wə·’a·hă·rōn.

and gathered

the congregation them

and appeared

the congregation

hib·bā·ḏə·lū,

הִבָּ֣דְל֔וּ

yourselves from among

congregation

that I may consume

wa·’a·ḵal·leh

And they fell

way·yip·pə·lū

וַיִּפְּל֤וּ

way·yō·mə·rū,

וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ

of the spirits

the congregation

will you be angry

the congregation

לְמִשְׁכַּן־

wa·’ă·ḇî·rām.

וַאֲבִירָֽם׃

wa·’ă·ḇî·rām;

and followed

way·yê·lə·ḵū

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

And he spoke

the congregation

hā·’ă·nā·šîm

הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים

hā·rə·šā·‘îm

הָֽרְשָׁעִים֙

you be consumed

so they got up

way·yê·‘ā·lū,

wa·’ă·ḇî·rām

wa·’ă·ḇî·rām

of their tents

’ā·ho·lê·hem,

אָֽהֳלֵיהֶ֔ם

and their wives

וּנְשֵׁיהֶ֥ם

and their sons

and their little children

you shall know

šə·lā·ḥa·nî,

ham·ma·‘ă·śîm

הַֽמַּעֲשִׂ֖ים

[done them] of my own mind

the common death

and the visitation

ū·p̄ə·qud·daṯ

or if they are visited

[then] the LORD

has not sent

šə·lā·ḥā·nî.

שְׁלָחָֽנִי׃

ū·p̄ā·ṣə·ṯāh

hā·’ă·ḏā·māh

and swallow them up

and they go down

into the pit

then you shall understand

וִֽידַעְתֶּ֕ם

have provoked

hā·’ă·nā·šîm

הָאֲנָשִׁ֥ים

And it came to pass

As he finished

kə·ḵal·lō·ṯōw,

כְּכַלֹּת֔וֹ

had·də·ḇā·rîm

הַדְּבָרִ֖ים

that cleaved asunder

wat·tib·bā·qa‘

וַתִּבָּקַ֥ע

hā·’ă·ḏā·māh

תַּחְתֵּיהֶֽם׃

wat·tip̄·taḥ

וַתִּפְתַּ֤ח

and swallowed them up

their houses

[appertained] to Korah

[their] goods

way·yê·rə·ḏū

וַיֵּ֨רְד֜וּ

into the pit

and they perished

way·yō·ḇə·ḏū

וַיֹּאבְד֖וּ

from the midst

the congregation

sə·ḇî·ḇō·ṯê·hem

סְבִיבֹתֵיהֶ֖ם

at their outcry

swallow us up

tiḇ·lā·‘ê·nū

תִּבְלָעֵ֖נוּ

there came out

and consumed

ha·ḥă·miš·šîm

הַחֲמִשִּׁ֤ים

and the two hundred

וּמָאתַ֙יִם֙

that offered

haq·qə·ṭō·reṯ.

הַקְּטֹֽרֶת׃

that he take up

הַמַּחְתֹּת֙

haś·śə·rê·p̄āh,

הַשְּׂרֵפָ֔ה

they are hallowed

As for the censers

ha·ḥaṭ·ṭā·’îm

הַֽחַטָּאִ֨ים

against their own souls

bə·nap̄·šō·ṯām,

בְּנַפְשֹׁתָ֗ם

and let them make

[for] a covering

of the altar

lam·miz·bê·aḥ,

לַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ

they offered them

and therefore they are hallowed

way·yiq·dā·šū;

וַיִּקְדָּ֑שׁוּ

and they shall be

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

han·nə·ḥō·šeṯ,

הַנְּחֹ֔שֶׁת

they who were burnt

haś·śə·ru·p̄îm;

הַשְּׂרֻפִ֑ים

and they were made broad

way·raq·qə·‘ūm

וַֽיְרַקְּע֖וּם

[plates for] a covering

for the altar

lam·miz·bê·aḥ.

לַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃

[To be] a memorial

zik·kā·rō·wn

to the end that

do come near

of a foreigner

[is] of the offspring

and as his company

wə·ḵa·‘ă·ḏā·ṯōw,

וְכַ֣עֲדָת֔וֹ

to him through

and grumbled

way·yil·lō·nū

וַיִּלֹּ֜נוּ

the congregation

But on the next day

mim·mā·ḥo·rāṯ,

מִֽמָּחֳרָ֔ת

And it came to pass

was gathered

bə·hiq·qā·hêl

בְּהִקָּהֵ֤ל

when the congregation

that they looked

and appeared

it and the glory

wə·’a·hă·rōn,

congregation

that I may consume

wa·’ă·ḵal·leh

as in a moment

And they fell

way·yip·pə·lū

וַֽיִּפְּל֖וּ

הַ֠מַּחְתָּה

ham·miz·bê·aḥ

הַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙

the congregation

and make an atonement

there is wrath

han·nā·ḡep̄.

כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀

of the congregation

among the people

and he put on

haq·qə·ṭō·reṯ,

and made an atonement

And he stood

way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ

and was stayed

wat·tê·‘ā·ṣar

ham·mag·gê·p̄āh.

הַמַּגֵּפָֽה׃

Now they who died

by the plague

bam·mag·gê·p̄āh,

בַּמַּגֵּפָ֔ה

those who died

And returned

and the plague

wə·ham·mag·gê·p̄āh

וְהַמַּגֵּפָ֖ה

ne·‘ĕ·ṣā·rāh.
