ū·ṯə·ḇū·nāh,

וּ֝תְבוּנָ֗ה

put forth her

of the heights

in the places

of the paths

at the opening

At the entrance

in at the doors

and my voice

[is] the sons

O you simple

and you fools

ū·ḵə·sî·lîm,

וּ֝כְסִילִ֗ים

be you of an understanding

of excellent things

for I will speak

and the opening

[shall be] right things

מֵישָׁרִֽים׃

For my mouth

[is] an abomination

wə·ṯō·w·‘ă·ḇaṯ

[are] in righteousness

[there is] fraudulent

They all [are]

to him who understands

וִֽ֝ישָׁרִ֗ים

to those who find

my instruction

and knowledge

rather than choice

mip·pə·nî·nîm;

מִפְּנִינִ֑ים

the things that may be desired

do to be compared

שָׁכַ֣נְתִּי

with prudence

and knowledge

of witty inventions

mə·zim·mō·wṯ

[is] to hate

and arrogance

the fraudulent

ṯah·pu·ḵō·wṯ

תַהְפֻּכ֬וֹת

and sound wisdom

wə·ṯū·šî·yāh;

וְתוּשִׁיָּ֑ה

understanding

I have strength

wə·rō·wz·nîm,

וְ֝רוֹזְנִ֗ים

By me princes

ū·nə·ḏî·ḇîm,

וּ֝נְדִיבִ֗ים

[even] the judges

of the earth

[’ō·hă·ḇe·hā

those who love me

and those who seek me early

ū·mə·ša·ḥă·ray,

וּ֝מְשַׁחֲרַ֗י

yim·ṣā·’un·nî.

יִמְצָאֻֽנְנִי׃

and righteousness

ū·ṣə·ḏā·qāh.

than fine gold

and my revenue

ū·ṯə·ḇū·’ā·ṯî,

וּ֝תְבוּאָתִ֗י

of righteousness

In the midst

of the paths

That I may cause those who love

and their treasures

wə·’ō·ṣə·rō·ṯê·hem

וְאֹצְרֹ֖תֵיהֶ֣ם

possessed me

in the beginning

From everlasting

I was set up

נִסַּ֥כְתִּי

From the beginning

from the earliest

[there were] depths

I was brought forth

ḥō·w·lā·lə·tî;

חוֹלָ֑לְתִּי

[there were] fountains

ma‘·yā·nō·wṯ,

מַ֝עְיָנ֗וֹת

נִכְבַּדֵּי־

the mountains

were settled

hā·ṭə·bā·‘ū;

was I brought forth

ḥō·w·lā·lə·tî.

חוֹלָֽלְתִּי׃

While as yet

nor the fields

wə·ḥū·ṣō·wṯ;

nor the highest part

‘ā·p̄ə·rō·wṯ

of the world

When he prepared

ba·hă·ḵî·nōw

בַּהֲכִינ֣וֹ

of the depth

When he established

bə·’am·mə·ṣōw

בְּאַמְּצ֣וֹ

when he strengthened

ba·‘ă·zō·wz,

the fountains

When he gave

בְּשׂ֘וּמ֤וֹ

that the waters

when he appointed

the foundations

of the earth

one brought up

[his] delight

שַׁ֭עֲשֻׁעִים

mə·śa·ḥe·qeṯ

mə·śa·ḥe·qeṯ

in the world

of his earth

and my delights

wə·ša·‘ă·šu·‘ay,

וְ֝שַׁעֲשֻׁעַ֗י

O you children

therefore Listen

וְ֝אַשְׁרֵ֗י

[are they that] keep

יִשְׁמֹֽרוּ׃

wa·ḥă·ḵā·mū,

תִּפְרָֽעוּ׃

[is] the man

at my doorposts

he who finds

and shall obtain

But he who sins against me

his own soul

they who hate me

מְ֝שַׂנְאַ֗י
