(1) the priest, and γραμματεύς, who in the seventh year of Artaxerxes Longimanus (458 b. c.) led a colony of Jews from Babylon to Jerusalem, Ezr. chap. -710 ; Neh. chap. his pedigree is given, -Ezra 7:15.

(2) one of the first colony, a cotemporary of Zerubbabel, Nehemiah 12:1, Nehemiah 12:2.
