1) a district or area in Bashan (noun proper locative)
2) one of king Pekah’s officers (noun proper masculine)
אַרְגֹּב (for. רְגֹב “a hear of stones,” from the root רָגַב=רָגַם) [Argob], pr.n. of a region situated beyond Jordan, in which were sixty cities, anciently subject to Og, king of Bashan, Deuteronomy 3:4, 13 1 Kings 4:13. There is a mountain there now called Arkub Massalubie.
