(1) shouting for joy, Psalms 30:6, 42:5 47:2. 1 Kings 22:36, וַיַּעֲבֹר הָרִנָּה בַּמַּחֲנֶה … לֵאמֹר “and there went through the camp a joyful cry: Home!”
(2) a mournful cry, wailing (Wimmern), Psalms 17:1, 61:2, and frequently.
