אֶתְנַן Ezekiel 16:34, 41 Ezekiel 16:41, and אֶתְנָן m. (for תְּנָן with א prosthet. from תָּנָה), with suff. אֶתְנַנִּי.

(1) gain of a harlot, absol. Ezekiel 16:31, 34 Ezekiel 16:34 and with the addition of זוֹנָה Deuteronomy 23:19. Metaph. used of the produce of the fields, which the idolators looked on as gifts from the idols, Hosea 9:1; Micah 1:7 comp. Isaiah 23:17, 18 Isaiah 23:18.
