Michael Jordan and Magic and myself all learned how to play the game in college programs that emphasized the team.

That's when we was makin this video stuff. They went all over the place makin it. And they was wantin to know, at the college, how I got started playin and how do I do everything - you know, all that.

I started doing stand-up in college.

I started out with comedy in college, but had my major in Recreation Administration - which meant I wasn't going to get a real job - so I started doing a little standup.

I moved to Chicago in 1980 to go to college.

After I saved some money, I quit work and went to a local college.

When I graduated college I needed to make money while I was pursuing acting, so I read screenplays and made a living writing coverage on them for studios.

No period of my life has been one of such unmixed happiness as the four years which have been spent within college walls.

Before high school ended, I started applying to college. It really wasn't even a choice because of the brainwashing of my parents.

I even lived on campus to get the college experience. I had five roommates and I still keep in touch with them while I'm on the road.

My mother said I must always be intolerant of ignorance but understanding of illiteracy. That some people, unable to go to school, were more educated and more intelligent than college professors.

In the world today, a young lady who does not have a college education just is not educated.

I think going to college for that one year was probable the best thing I have ever done.

I had no idea where these kids at a small private college in the San Fernando Valley were coming from, why they were coming to hear me, or what they needed to know.

My undergraduate education, at the City College in New York, was made possible only by the existence of that excellent free institution and the financial sacrifices of my parents.
