Psalms 149,150

Israel Invoked to Praise the LORD.

1 (F1)Praise (F2)the LORD!
Sing a (C1)new song to the LORD,
And His praise (C2)in the congregation of the godly ones.

2 Israel shall be joyful in (C1)his Maker;
The sons of Zion shall rejoice in their (C2)King.

3 They shall praise His name with (C1)dancing;
They shall sing praises to Him with (C2)tambourine and lyre.

4 For the LORD (C1)takes pleasure in His people;
He will (C2)glorify the lowly with salvation.

5 The (C1)godly ones shall be jubilant in glory;
They shall (C2)sing for joy on their beds.

6 The (C1)high praises of God shall be in their (F1)mouths,
And a (C2)two-edged (C3)sword in their hands,

7 To (C1)execute vengeance on the nations,
And punishment on the peoples,

8 To bind their kings (C1)with chains,
And their (C2)dignitaries with shackles of iron,

9 To (C1)execute against them the judgment written.
This is an (C2)honor for all His godly ones.
(F1)Praise (F2)the LORD!

A Psalm of Praise.

1 (F1)Praise (F2)the LORD!
Praise God in His (C1)sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty (F3)(C2)expanse.

2 Praise Him for His (C1)mighty deeds;
Praise Him according to His excellent (C2)greatness.

3 Praise Him with (C1)trumpet sound;
Praise Him with (C2)harp and lyre.

4 Praise Him with (C1)tambourine and dancing;
Praise Him with (C2)stringed instruments and (C3)flute.

5 Praise Him with loud (C1)cymbals;
Praise Him with resounding cymbals.

6 (C1)Everything that has breath shall praise (F1)the LORD.
(F2)Praise (F1)the LORD!

1 Corinthians 5

Chapter 5

Sexual Immorality Rebuked

1 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and sexual immorality of such a kind as does not exist even among the Gentiles, namely, that someone has (C1)his father's wife.2 (F1)You (C1)have become (F2)arrogant and (F1)have not (C2)mourned instead, so that the one who had done this deed would be (C3)removed from your midst.

3 For I, on my part, though (C1)absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged him who has so committed this, as though I were present.4 (C1)In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are assembled, and (F1)I with you in spirit, (C2)with the power of our Lord Jesus,5 I have decided (F1)to (C1)turn such a person over to (C2)Satan for the destruction of his (F2)body, so that his spirit may be saved on (C3)the day of the (F3)Lord.

6 (C1)Your boasting is not good. (C2)Do you not know that (C3)a little (F1)leaven leavens the whole lump of dough?7 Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our (C1)Passover also has been sacrificed.8 Therefore let's celebrate the feast, (C1)not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

9 I wrote to you in my letter (C1)not to associate with sexually immoral people;10 I did not at all mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the greedy and swindlers, or with (C1)idolaters, for then you would have to leave the world.11 But (F1)actually, I (F2)wrote to you not to associate (F3)with any so-called (C1)brother if he is a sexually immoral person, or a greedy person, or (C2)an idolater, or is verbally abusive, or habitually drunk, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a person.12 For what business of mine is it to judge (C1)outsiders? (C2)Do you not judge those who are within the church?13 But those who are outside, God (F1)judges. (C1)REMOVE THE EVIL PERSON FROM AMONG YOURSELVES.
