Chapter 4
Siege of Jerusalem Predicted
1 "Now you, son of man, (C1)get yourself a brick, place it before you, and inscribe a city on it—Jerusalem.2 "Then (C1)lay siege against it, build a siege wall, pile up an assault ramp, set up camps, and place battering rams against it all around.3 "Then get yourself an iron plate and set it up as an iron wall between yourself and the city, and direct your face toward it so that (C1)it is under siege, and besiege it. This will be a (C2)sign to the house of Israel.
4 "Then you are to lie down on your left side and put the wrongdoing of the house of Israel on it; you shall (C1)bear their wrongdoing for the number of days that you lie on it.5 "For I have assigned you a number of days corresponding to the years of their wrongdoing, 390 days; so (C1)you shall bear the wrongdoing of the house of Israel.6 "When you have completed these days, you shall lie down a second time, but on your right side, and bear the wrongdoing of the house of Judah; I have assigned it to you for forty days, a day for (C1)each year.7 "Then you shall direct your face toward the siege of Jerusalem with your arm bared, and (C1)prophesy against it.8 "Now behold, I will (C1)put ropes (F1)around you so that you cannot turn from your one side to your other until you have completed the days of your siege.
Defiled Bread
9 "But as for you, take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and (C1)spelt, and put them in one vessel and make them into bread for yourself; you shall eat it according to the number of the days that you lie on your side, 390 days.10 "Your food which you eat shall be (C1)twenty shekels a day by weight; you shall eat it from time to time.11 "The water you drink shall be a (F1)sixth of a hin by measure; you shall drink it from time to time.12 "You shall eat it as a barley cake, having baked it in their sight over human (C1)dung."13 Then the LORD said, "In this way the sons of Israel will eat their bread (C1)unclean among the nations where I will scatter them."14 But I said, "(C1)Oh, Lord (F1)GOD! Behold, (F2)I have (C2)never been defiled; for from my youth until now I have never eaten what (C3)died of itself or was torn by animals, nor has any (C4)unclean meat ever entered my mouth!"15 Then He said to me, "See, I will give you cow's dung in place of human dung, so that you may prepare your bread over it."16 Moreover, He said to me, "Son of man, behold, I am going to (C1)break the staff of bread in Jerusalem, and they will eat bread by (C2)weight and with anxiety, and drink water by (C3)measure and in horror,17 because bread and water will be scarce; and they will tremble with one another and (C1)waste away in their guilt.
Chapter 5
Jerusalem's Desolation Foretold
1 "As for you, son of man, take a (C1)sharp sword; take and (F1)use it as a barber's razor on your head and beard. Then take (C2)scales for weighing and divide (F2)the hair.2 "A third you shall burn in the fire at the center of the city, when the (C1)days of the siege are completed. Then you shall take a third and strike it with the sword all around (F1)the city, and a third you shall scatter to the wind; for I will (C2)unsheathe a sword behind them.3 "Take also a few hairs in number from (F1)them and bind them in the hems of your robes.4 "Take again some of them and throw them into the fire and burn them in the fire; from it a fire will (F1)spread to all the house of Israel.
5 "This is what the Lord (F1)GOD says: 'This is (C1)Jerusalem; I have placed her at the (C2)center of the nations, with lands around her.6 'But she has rebelled against My ordinances more wickedly than the nations, and against My statutes (C1)more than the lands which surround her; for they have (C2)rejected My ordinances and have not walked (F1)in My statutes.'7 "Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: 'Because you have (C1)more turmoil than the nations that surround you and have not walked in My statutes, nor executed My ordinances, nor acted in accordance with the ordinances of the nations around you,'8 therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: 'Behold, I, even I, am (C1)against you, and I will (C2)execute judgments among you in the sight of the nations.9 'And because of all your abominations I will do among you what I have (C1)not done, and the like of which I will never do again.10 'Therefore, (C1)fathers will eat their sons among you, and sons will eat their fathers; for I will execute judgments on you and (C2)scatter all your remnant to every wind.11 'Therefore as I live,' declares the Lord GOD, 'Because you have (C1)defiled My sanctuary with all your (C2)detestable idols and with all your abominations, I definitely will also withdraw and My eye will have no pity, and I also will not spare.12 'A third of you will die by (C1)plague or perish by famine among you, a third will fall by the sword around you, and a third I will (C2)scatter to every wind, and I will (C3)unsheathe a sword behind them.
13 'Then My anger will be spent and I will satisfy My wrath on them, and I will be (C1)appeased; then they will know that I, the LORD, have (C2)spoken in My zeal, when I have spent My wrath upon them.14 'Moreover, I will make you a site of ruins and a (C1)disgrace among the nations that surround you, in the sight of everyone who passes by.15 'So (F1)it will be a disgrace, an object of abuse, a (C1)warning, and an object of horror to the nations that surround you when I (C2)execute judgments against you in anger, wrath, and raging reprimands. I, the LORD, have spoken.16 'When I send against them the (F1)deadly arrows of famine which (F2)were for the destruction of those whom I will send to destroy you, then I will also intensify the famine upon you and break off your (F3)provision of bread.17 '(C1)I will send on you famine and vicious animals, and they will bereave you of children; (C2)plague and bloodshed also will pass through you, and I will bring the sword on you. I, the LORD, have spoken.'"

Ephesians 1
Chapter 1
The Blessings of Redemption
1 Paul, (C1)an apostle of (C2)Christ Jesus (F1)(C3)by the will of God,
3 (C1)Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in (C2)the heavenly places in Christ,4 just as (C1)He chose us in Him before (C2)the foundation of the world, that we would be (C3)holy and blameless before (F1)Him. (C4)In love5 (F1)He (C1)predestined us to (C2)adoption as sons and daughters through Jesus Christ to Himself, (C3)according to the good pleasure of His will,6 (C1)to the praise of the glory of His grace, with which He favored us in (C2)the Beloved.7 (C1)In (F1)Him we have (C2)redemption (C3)through His blood, the (C4)forgiveness of our wrongdoings, according to (C5)the riches of His grace8 which He (F1)lavished on (F2)us. In all wisdom and insight9 He (F1)(C1)made known to us the mystery of His will, (C2)according to His good pleasure which He (C3)set forth in Him,10 regarding His plan of (C1)the fullness of the times, (C2)to bring all things together in Christ, things (F1)in the heavens and things on the earth.11 (F1)In Him we also (C1)have obtained an inheritance, having been (C2)predestined (C3)according to the purpose of Him who works all things (C4)in accordance with the plan of His will,12 to the end that (F1)we who were the first to hope in the (F2)Christ would be (C1)to the praise of His glory.13 In (F1)Him, (F2)you also, after listening to (C1)the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also (F3)believed, you were (C2)sealed in (F1)Him with (C3)the Holy Spirit of the promise,14 who is a (C1)first installment of (C2)our inheritance, in regard to the (C3)redemption of (C4)God's own possession, (C5)to the praise of His glory.
15 For this reason I too, (C1)having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and (F1)your love for (C2)all the (F2)saints,16 (C1)do not cease giving thanks for you, (C2)while making mention of you in my prayers;17 that the (C1)God of our Lord Jesus Christ, (C2)the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of (C3)wisdom and of (C4)revelation in the (F1)knowledge of Him.18 I pray that (C1)the eyes of your heart (F1)may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the (C2)hope of His (C3)calling, what are (C4)the riches of the glory of (C5)His inheritance in (C6)the (F2)saints,19 and what is the (F1)boundless greatness of His power toward us who believe. (C1)These are in accordance with the working of the (C2)strength of His might20 which He brought about in Christ, when He (C1)raised Him from the dead and (C2)seated Him at His right hand in (C3)the heavenly places,21 far above (C1)all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every (C2)name that is named, not only in (C3)this age but also in the one to come.22 And He (C1)put all things in subjection under His feet, and made Him (C2)head over all things to the church,23 which is His (C1)body, the (C2)fullness of Him who (C3)fills (C4)all in all.
