A Song of Ascents.

Out of the ^(a)depths I have cried to You, O Lord .

Lord, ^(b)hear my voice! Let ^(c)Your ears be attentive To the ^(d)voice of my supplications.

If You, ^[a] Lord , should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could ^(e)stand?

But there is ^(f)forgiveness with You, That You may be ^(g)feared.

I wait for the Lord , my ^(h)soul does wait, And ^[b](i)in His word do I hope.

My soul waits for the Lord More than the watchmen ^(j)for the morning; Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning.

O Israel, ^(k)hope in the Lord ; For with the Lord there is ^(l)lovingkindness, And with Him is ^(m)abundant redemption.

And He will ⁽ⁿ⁾redeem Israel From all his iniquities.

A Song of Ascents, of David.

O Lord , my heart is not ^(a)proud, nor my eyes ^[a](b)haughty; Nor do I ^[b]involve myself in ^(c)great matters, Or in things ^(d)too ^[c]difficult for me.

Surely I have ^(e)composed and quieted my soul; Like a weaned ^(f)child rests ^[d]against his mother, My soul is like a weaned child ^[e]within me.

O Israel, ^(g)hope in the Lord ^(h)From this time forth and forever.

A Song of Ascents.

Remember, O Lord , on David's behalf, All ^(a)his affliction;

How he swore to the Lord And vowed to ^(b)the Mighty One of Jacob,

"Surely I will not ^[a]enter ^(c)my house, Nor ^[b]lie on my bed;

I will not ^(d)give sleep to my eyes Or slumber to my eyelids,

Until I find a ^(e)place for the Lord , ^[c]A dwelling place for ^(f)the Mighty One of Jacob."

Behold, we heard of it in ^(g)Ephrathah, We found it in the ^(h)field of ^[d]Jaar.

Let us go into His ^[e](i)dwelling place; Let us ^(j)worship at His ^(k)footstool.

^(l)Arise, O Lord , to Your ^(m)resting place, You and the ark of Your ⁽ⁿ⁾strength.

Let Your priests be ^(o)clothed with righteousness, And let Your ^(p)godly ones sing for joy.

For the sake of David Your servant, Do not turn away the face of Your ^(q)anointed.

The Lord has ^(r)sworn to David A truth from which He will not turn back: "^(s)Of the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne.

"If your sons will keep My covenant And My testimony which I will teach them, Their sons also shall ^(t)sit upon your throne forever."

For the Lord has ^(u)chosen Zion; He has ^(v)desired it for His habitation.

"This is My ^(w)resting place forever; Here I will ^(x)dwell, for I have desired it.

"I will abundantly ^(y)bless her provision; I will ^(z)satisfy her needy with bread.

"Her ^(aa)priests also I will clothe with salvation, And her ^(ab)godly ones will sing aloud for joy.

"There I will cause the ^(ac)horn of David to spring forth; I have prepared a ^(ad)lamp for Mine anointed.

"His enemies I will ^(ae)clothe with shame, But upon himself his ^(af)crown shall shine."
