O God, You ^(ai)have taught me from my youth, And I still ^(aj)declare Your wondrous deeds.

And even when I am ^(ak)old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, Until I ^(al)declare Your ^[l]strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come.

^[m]For Your ^(am)righteousness, O God, reaches to the ^[n]heavens, You who have ^(an)done great things; O God, ^(ao)who is like You?

You who have ^(ap)shown ^[o]me many troubles and distresses Will ^(aq)revive ^[p]me again, And will bring ^[q]me up again ^(ar)from the depths of the earth.

May You increase my ^(as)greatness And turn to ^(at)comfort me.

I will also praise You with ^[r](au)a harp, Even Your ^[s]truth, O my God; To You I will sing praises with the ^(av)lyre, O ^(aw)Holy One of Israel.

My lips will ^(ax)shout for joy when I sing praises to You; And my ^(ay)soul, which You have redeemed.

My ^(az)tongue also will utter Your righteousness all day long; For they are ^(ba)ashamed, for they are humiliated who seek ^[t]my hurt.

A Psalm of Solomon.

Give the king ^(a)Your judgments, O God, And ^(b)Your righteousness to the king's son.

^[a]May ^[b]he ^(c)judge Your people with righteousness And ^[c](d)Your afflicted with justice.

^[d]Let the mountains bring ^[e](e)peace to the people, And the hills, in righteousness.

^[f]May he ^(f)vindicate the ^[g]afflicted of the people, Save the children of the needy And crush the oppressor.

^[h]Let them fear You ^(g)while the sun endures, And ^[i]as long as the moon, throughout all generations.

^[j]May he come down ^(h)like rain upon the mown grass, Like ⁽ⁱ⁾showers that water the earth.

In his days ^[k]may the ^(j)righteous flourish, And ^(k)abundance of peace till the moon is no more.

May he also rule ^(l)from sea to sea And from the River to the ends of the earth.

^[l]Let ^(m)the nomads of the desert ⁽ⁿ⁾bow before him, And his enemies ^(o)lick the dust.

^[m]Let the kings of ^(p)Tarshish and of the ^[n](q)islands bring presents; The kings of ^(r)Sheba and ^(s)Seba ^(t)offer ^[o]gifts.

^[p]And let all ^(u)kings bow down before him, All ^(v)nations serve him.

For he will ^(w)deliver the needy when he cries for help, The ^[q]afflicted also, and him who has no helper.

He will have ^(x)compassion on the poor and needy, And the ^[r]lives of the needy he will save.

He will ^[s](y)rescue their ^[t]life from oppression and violence, And their blood will be ^(z)precious in his sight;

So may he live, and may the ^(aa)gold of Sheba be given to him; And let ^[u]them pray for him continually; Let ^[v]them bless him all day long.

May there be abundance of grain in the earth on top of the mountains; Its fruit will wave like the cedars of ^(ab)Lebanon; And may those from the city flourish like ^(ac)vegetation of the earth.

May his ^(ad)name endure forever; May his name ^[w]increase ^[x](ae)as long as the sun shines; And let men ^(af)bless themselves by him; ^(ag)Let all nations call him blessed.

^(ah)Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, Who alone ^(ai)works wonders.

And blessed be His ^(aj)glorious name forever; And may the whole ^(ak)earth be filled with His glory. ^(al)Amen, and Amen.

A Psalm of Asaph.

Surely God is ^(a)good to Israel, To those who are ^(b)pure in heart!

But as for me, ^(c)my feet came close to stumbling, My steps ^[a]had almost slipped.

For I was ^(d)envious of the ^[b]arrogant As I saw the ^(e)prosperity of the wicked.

For there are no pains in their death, And their ^[c]body is fat.

They are ^(f)not ^[d]in trouble as other ^[e]men, Nor are they ^(g)plagued ^[f]like mankind.

Therefore pride is ^(h)their necklace; The ⁽ⁱ⁾garment of violence covers them.

Their eye ^[g]bulges from ^(j)fatness; The imaginations of their heart ^[h]run riot.

They ^(k)mock and ^[i]wickedly speak of oppression; They ^(l)speak from on high.

They have ^(m)set their mouth ^[j]against the heavens, And their tongue ^[k]parades through the earth.

Therefore ^[l]his people return to this place, And waters of ⁽ⁿ⁾abundance are ^[m]drunk by them.

They say, "^(o)How does God know? And is there knowledge ^[n]with the Most High?"

Behold, ^(p)these are the wicked; And always ^(q)at ease, they have increased in wealth.

Surely ^(r)in vain I have ^[o]kept my heart pure And ^(s)washed my hands in innocence;

For I have been stricken ^(t)all day long And ^[p](u)chastened every morning.

If I had said, "I will speak thus," Behold, I would have betrayed the ^(v)generation of Your children.

When I ^(w)pondered to understand this, It was ^[q]troublesome in my sight

Until I came into the ^[r](x)sanctuary of God; Then I perceived their ^(y)end.

Surely You set them in ^(z)slippery places; You cast them down to ^[s](aa)destruction.

How they are ^[t](ab)destroyed in a moment! They are utterly swept away by ^(ac)sudden terrors!

Like a ^(ad)dream when one awakes, O Lord, when ^(ae)aroused, You will ^(af)despise their ^[u]form.
