How lovely are Your ^(a)dwelling places, O Lord of hosts!

My ^(b)soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord ; My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the ^(c)living God.

The bird also has found a house, And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, Even Your ^(d)altars, O Lord of hosts, ^(e)My King and my God.

How ^(f)blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ^(g)ever praising You. ^[b]Selah.

How blessed is the man whose ^(h)strength is in You, In ^[c]whose heart are the ⁽ⁱ⁾highways to Zion!

Passing through the valley of ^[d]Baca they make it a ^[e]spring; The ^(j)early rain also covers it with blessings.

They ^(k)go from strength to strength, ^[f]Every one of them ^(l)appears before God in Zion.

O ^(m) Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; Give ear, O ⁽ⁿ⁾God of Jacob! Selah.

Behold our ^(o)shield, O God, And look upon the face of ^(p)Your anointed.

For ^(q)a day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

For the Lord God is ^(r)a sun and ^(s)shield; The Lord gives grace and ^(t)glory; ^(u)No good thing does He withhold ^[g]from those who walk ^[h]uprightly.

O Lord of hosts, How ^(v)blessed is the man who trusts in You!

O Lord , You showed ^(a)favor to Your land; You ^[a](b)restored the captivity of Jacob.

You ^(c)forgave the iniquity of Your people; You ^(d)covered all their sin. ^[b]Selah.

You ^(e)withdrew all Your fury; You ^(f)turned away from Your burning anger.

^(g)Restore us, O God of our salvation, And ^(h)cause Your indignation toward us to cease.

Will ⁽ⁱ⁾You be angry with us forever? Will You prolong Your anger to ^[c]all generations?

Will You not Yourself ^[d](j)revive us again, That Your people may ^(k)rejoice in You?

Show us Your lovingkindness, O Lord , And ^(l)grant us Your salvation.

^[e]I will hear what God the Lord will say; For He will ^(m)speak peace to His people, ^[f]to His godly ones; But let them not ⁽ⁿ⁾turn back to ^[g]folly.

Surely ^(o)His salvation is near to those who ^[h]fear Him, That ^(p)glory may dwell in our land.

^(q)Lovingkindness and ^[i]truth have met together; ^(r)Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

^[j]Truth ^(s)springs from the earth, And righteousness looks down from heaven.

Indeed, ^(t)the Lord will give what is good, And our ^(u)land will yield its produce.

^(v)Righteousness will go before Him And will make His footsteps into a way.

A Prayer of David.

^(a)Incline Your ear, O Lord , and answer me; For I am ^(b)afflicted and needy.

^(c)Preserve my ^[a]soul, for I am a ^(d)godly man; O You my God, save Your servant who ^(e)trusts in You.

Be ^(f)gracious to me, O Lord, For ^(g)to You I cry all day long.

Make glad the soul of Your servant, For to You, O Lord, ^(h)I lift up my soul.

For You, Lord, are ⁽ⁱ⁾good, and ^(j)ready to forgive, And ^(k)abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You.

^(l)Give ear, O Lord , to my prayer; And give heed to the voice of my supplications!

In ^(m)the day of my trouble I shall call upon You, For ⁽ⁿ⁾You will answer me.

There is ^(o)no one like You among the gods, O Lord, Nor are there any works ^(p)like Yours.

^(q)All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, And they shall glorify Your name.

For You are ^(r)great and ^(s)do ^[b]wondrous deeds; You alone ^(t)are God.

^(u)Teach me Your way, O Lord ; I will walk in Your truth; ^(v)Unite my heart to fear Your name.

I will ^(w)give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And will glorify Your name forever.

For Your lovingkindness toward me is great, And You have ^(x)delivered my soul from the ^[c]depths of ^[d]Sheol.

O God, arrogant men have ^(y)risen up against me, And ^[e]a band of violent men have sought my ^[f]life, And they have not set You before them.

But You, O Lord, are a God ^(z)merciful and gracious, Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and ^[g]truth.

^(aa)Turn to me, and be gracious to me; Oh ^(ab)grant Your strength to Your servant, And save the ^(ac)son of Your handmaid.

^(ad)Show me a sign for good, That those who hate me may ^(ae)see it and be ashamed, Because You, O Lord , ^(af)have helped me and comforted me.
