A great ^(C1)sign appeared ^(C2)in heaven: ^(C3)a woman ^(C4)clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars;

and she was pregnant and she ^(*)(C1)cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.

Then ^(C1)another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red ^(C2)dragon having ^(C3)seven heads and ^(C4)ten horns, and on his heads were ^(C5)seven crowns.

And his tail ^(*)swept away a ^(C1)third of the stars of heaven and ^(C2)hurled them to the earth. And the ^(C3)dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth ^(C4)he might devour her Child.

And ^(C1)she gave birth to a Son, a male, who is going to ^(F1)(C2)rule all the ^(F2)nations with a rod of iron; and her Child was ^(C3)caught up to God and to His throne.

Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she ^(*)had a place prepared by God, so that there ^(F1)she would be nourished for ^(C1)1,260 days.
