NAS – For though I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it; though I did regret it—{for} I see that that letter caused you sorrow, though only for a while—
NA26 – ὅτι εἰ καὶ ἐλύπησα (5656) ὑμᾶς ἐν τῇ ἐπιστολῇ, οὐ μεταμέλομαι· (5736) εἰ καὶ μετεμελόμην, (5711) βλέπω (5719) γὰρ ὅτι ἡ ἐπιστολὴ ἐκείνη εἰ καὶ πρὸς ὥραν ἐλύπησεν (5656) ὑμᾶς,
WH – οτι ει και ελυπησα (5656) υμας εν τη επιστολη ου μεταμελομαι (5736) ει και μετεμελομην (5711) βλεπω (5719) [ | [γαρ] ] οτι η επιστολη εκεινη ει και προς ωραν ελυπησεν (5656) υμας

NAS – So although I wrote to you, {it was} not for the sake of the offender nor for the sake of the one offended, but that your earnestness in our behalf might be made known to you in the sight of God.
NA26 – ἄρα εἰ καὶ ἔγραψα (5656) ὑμῖν, οὐχ ἕνεκεν τοῦ ἀδικήσαντος, (5660) οὐδὲ ἕνεκεν τοῦ ἀδικηθέντος, (5685) ἀλλ ἕνεκεν τοῦ φανερωθῆναι (5683) τὴν σπουδὴν ὑμῶν τὴν ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ.
WH – αρα ει και εγραψα (5656) υμιν ουχ ενεκεν του αδικησαντος (5660) [ [αλλ] | ] ουδε ενεκεν του αδικηθεντος (5685) αλλ ενεκεν του φανερωθηναι (5683) την σπουδην υμων την υπερ ημων προς υμας ενωπιον του θεου
