NAS And they asked Him, saying, "{Why is it} that the scribes say that Elijah must come first?"
NA26 καὶ ἐπηρώτων (5707) αὐτὸν λέγοντες, (5723) Ὅτι λέγουσιν (5719) οἱ γραμματεῖς ὅτι Ἠλίαν δεῖ (5904) ἐλθεῖν (5629) πρῶτον;
WH και επηρωτων (5707) αυτον λεγοντες (5723) οτι λεγουσιν (5719) οι γραμματεις οτι ηλιαν δει (5719) ελθειν (5629) πρωτον

NAS And He said to them, "Elijah does come first and he restores all things. And {yet} how is it written of the Son of Man that He will suffer many things and be treated with contempt?
NA26 ὁ δὲ ἔφη (5713) αὐτοῖς, Ἠλίας μὲν ἐλθὼν (5631) πρῶτον ἀποκαθιστάνει (5719) πάντα, καὶ πῶς γέγραπται (5769) ἐπὶ τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἵνα πολλὰ πάθῃ (5632) καὶ ἐξουδενηθῇ;
WH ο δε εφη (5707) αυτοις ηλιας μεν ελθων (5631) πρωτον [ | ] παντα και πως γεγραπται (5769) επι τον υιον του ανθρωπου ινα πολλα παθη (5632) και εξουδενηθη (5686)

NAS "But I say to you that Elijah has indeed come, and they did to him whatever they wanted, just as it is written of him."
NA26 ἀλλὰ λέγω (5719) ὑμῖν ὅτι καὶ Ἠλίας ἐλήλυθεν, (5754) καὶ ἐποίησαν (5656) αὐτῷ ὅσα ἤθελον, (5707) καθὼς γέγραπται (5769) ἐπ αὐτόν.
