NAS In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son {to be} the propitiation for our sins.
NA26 ἐν τούτῳ ἐστὶν (5748) ἡ ἀγάπη, οὐχ ὅτι ἡμεῖς ἠγαπήκαμεν (5758) τὸν θεόν, ἀλλ ὅτι αὐτὸς ἠγάπησεν (5656) ἡμᾶς καὶ ἀπέστειλεν (5656) τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ ἱλασμὸν περὶ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν ἡμῶν.
WH εν τουτω εστιν (5719) η αγαπη ουχ οτι ημεις ηγαπηκαμεν (5758) τον θεον αλλ οτι αυτος ηγαπησεν (5656) ημας και απεστειλεν (5656) τον υιον αυτου ιλασμον περι των αμαρτιων ημων

NAS If someone says, "I love God," and {yet} he hates his brother {or sister,} he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother {and sister} whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.
NA26 ἐάν τις εἴπῃ (5632) ὅτι Ἀγαπῶ (5719) τὸν θεόν, καὶ τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ μισῇ, (5725) ψεύστης ἐστίν· (5748) ὁ γὰρ μὴ ἀγαπῶν (5723) τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ ὃν ἑώρακεν, (5758) τὸν θεὸν ὃν οὐχ ἑώρακεν (5758) οὐ δύναται (5736) ἀγαπᾶν. (5721)
