NAS – But He answered and said to them, "An evil and adulterous generation craves a sign; and {so} no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah the prophet;
NA26 – ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς (5679) εἶπεν (5627) αὐτοῖς, Γενεὰ πονηρὰ καὶ μοιχαλὶς σημεῖον ἐπιζητεῖ, (5719) καὶ σημεῖον οὐ δοθήσεται (5701) αὐτῇ εἰ μὴ τὸ σημεῖον Ἰωνᾶ τοῦ προφήτου.
WH – ο δε αποκριθεις (5679) ειπεν (5627) αυτοις γενεα πονηρα και μοιχαλις σημειον επιζητει (5719) και σημειον ου δοθησεται (5701) αυτη ει μη το σημειον ιωνα του προφητου

NAS – "Then it goes and brings along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they come in and live there; and the last {condition} of that person becomes worse than the first. That is the way it will also be with this evil generation."
NA26 – τότε πορεύεται (5736) καὶ παραλαμβάνει (5719) μεθ ἑαυτοῦ ἑπτὰ ἕτερα πνεύματα πονηρότερα ἑαυτοῦ, καὶ εἰσελθόντα (5631) κατοικεῖ (5719) ἐκεῖ· καὶ γίνεται (5736) τὰ ἔσχατα τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐκείνου χείρονα τῶν πρώτων. οὕτως ἔσται (5704) καὶ τῇ γενεᾷ ταύτῃ τῇ πονηρᾷ.
WH – τοτε πορευεται (5736) και παραλαμβανει (5719) μεθ εαυτου επτα ετερα πνευματα πονηροτερα εαυτου και εισελθοντα (5631) κατοικει (5719) εκει και γινεται (5736) τα εσχατα του ανθρωπου εκεινου χειρονα των πρωτων ουτως εσται (5695) και τη γενεα ταυτη τη πονηρα
