NAS – yet he has no {firm} root in himself, but is {only} temporary, and when affliction or persecution occurs because of the word, immediately he falls away.
NA26 – οὐκ ἔχει (5719) δὲ ῥίζαν ἐν ἑαυτῷ ἀλλὰ πρόσκαιρός ἐστιν, (5748) γενομένης (5637) δὲ θλίψεως ἢ διωγμοῦ διὰ τὸν λόγον εὐθὺς σκανδαλίζεται. (5743)
