Abishai son of Zeruiah struck down eighteen thousand Edomites in the Salt Valley. Moreover Avishai the son of Tzeru'yah struck of the Edom in the Valley of Salt eighteen thousand. Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand. And Abishai, the son of Zeruiah, killed 18,000 Edomites in the Valley of Salt. And Abishai son of Zeruiah hath smitten Edom in the valley of salt -- eighteen thousand, And Abishai son of Zeruiah has struck Edom in the Valley of Salt—eighteen thousand, Abishai son of Zeruiah fought and defeated the Edomites in the Valley of Salt—eighteen thousand of them. He set up a puppet government in Edom and the Edomites became subjects under David. God gave David victory wherever he marched. Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah defeated 18,000 Edomites in the Valley of Salt.

Verse 1 Chronicles 18:12. Abishai - slew of the Edomites — This victory is attributed to David, 2 Samuel 8:13. He sent Abishai against them, and he defeated them: this is with great propriety attributed to David as commander-in-chief; qui facit per alterum, facit per se.
