He also defeated the Moabites, and they became David’s subjects and brought tribute. He struck Mo'av; and the Mo`avim became servants to David, and brought tribute. And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts. And he defeated Moab, and the Moabites became servants to David and brought tribute. He also defeated the people of Moab. So the people of Moab became servants of David and gave him the payment he demanded.
