When the Aram of Dammesek came to help Hadad`ezer king of Tzovah, David struck of the Aram twenty-two thousand men. And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men. And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck down 22,000 men of the Syrians. David set up a puppet government in Aram-Damascus. The Arameans became subjects of David and were forced to bring tribute. God gave victory to David wherever he marched. When the Arameans of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David killed 22,000 men of the Arameans.
