1 Chronicles 9:27

They spent the night in the vicinity of God’s temple, because they had guard duty and were in charge of opening it every morning. They lodged round about the house of God, because the charge [of it] was on them; and to them pertained the opening of it morning by morning. And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning pertained to them. And they lodged around the house of God, for on them lay the duty of watching, and they had charge of opening it every morning. They stayed up all night guarding the Temple of God, and they opened it every morning. They would spend the night in their posts all around God's sanctuary, for they were assigned to guard it and would open it with the key every morning. They spent the night around the house of God, for the [night] watch was theirs, and they were in charge of opening the house morning after morning. They spent the night around the house of God, because the watch was committed to them; and they were in charge of opening it morning by morning. They lodged round about the house of God, because the charge [of it] was on them; and to them pertained the opening of it morning by morning. And they lay rounde about the house of God, because the charge was theirs, and they caused it to be opened euery morning. And they spent the night all around the house of God, because the watch was committed to them; and they were over opening it morning by morning. They would spend the night stationed around the house of God, because they were responsible for guarding it and opening it every morning. They guarded the temple day and night and opened its doors every morning. They spent their nights in the vicinity of the house of God, because they were in charge of it; they were responsible for opening it up each morning. for they stayed round about the house of God during the night, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning [pertained] to them. They stayed up all night guarding God's Temple, and they had the job of opening God's Temple every morning. And they lodged round about the house of the LORD, because upon them was the duty of guarding the gates. They lived near the Temple, because it was their duty to guard it and to open the gates every morning. And they lodged all around the house of God, for upon them was a responsibility. And they had charge of opening the house of God every morning. And they lived around the house of God, for the watch duty was on them; and they were to open it morning by morning. In the nighte season also remayned they aboute the house of God: for their dewtye was to geue attendaunce to open euery mornynge. And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge thereof was upon them; and to them pertained the opening thereof morning by morning. Their sleeping-rooms were round the house of God, for they had the care of it, and were responsible for opening it morning by morning. And they laye rounde about the house of God, because the keping thereof pertayned to them, and they had the charge to open it euery mornyng. And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge thereof was upon them, and to them pertained the opening thereof morning by morning. And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge was vpon them, and the opening thereof euery morning, perteined to them. For the charge was upon them, and these were charged with the keys to open the doors of the temple every morning. And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge [thereof] was upon them, and to them pertained the opening thereof morning by morning. Also thei dwelliden in her kepyngis bi the cumpas of the temple of the Lord, that whanne tyme were, thei schulden opene the yatis eerli. And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge [thereof] was on them; and to them pertained the opening thereof morning by morning. And they lodged about the house of God, because the charge [was] upon them, and the opening of it every morning [pertained] to them. And they lodged round about the house of God,.... In chambers on the outward wall about it, that they might be near to do their office:

because the charge was upon them; to guard the house:

and the opening thereof every morning pertained to them; that is, the opening of the doors of the mountain of the house, and the court of women; for as for others, that appertained to the priests, as Dr. Lightfoot u observes; under the second temple, it is said w, Ben Geber was over the shutting of the gates in the evening, and so of opening in the morning.
