“Now here is the king you’ve chosen, the one you requested. Look, this is the king the Lord has placed over you.
Now therefore see the king whom you have chosen, and whom you have asked for: and, behold, the LORD has set a king over you.
Now therefore behold the king whom ye have chosen, and whom ye have desired! and, behold, the Lord hath set a king over you.
So then look! Here is the king you have chosen, for whom you have asked! Look, Yahweh has placed a king over you!
And now behold the king whom you have chosen, for whom you have asked; behold, the Lord has set a king over you.
Now here is the king you chose, the one you asked for. The Lord has put him over you.
Now look! Here is the king you have chosen—the one that you asked for! Look, the Lord has given you a king!
"And now, behold, the king whom you have chosen, whom you have asked for, and behold, the LORD has put a king over you.
Nowe therefore beholde the King whome yee haue chosen, and whome yee haue desired: loe therefore, the Lord hath set a King ouer you.
So now, behold, the king whom you have chosen, whom you have asked for, and behold, Yahweh has set a king over you.
You asked for a king, and you chose one. Now he stands here where all of you can see him. But it was really the Lord who made him your king.
Now, here's the king you have chosen, the one you asked for. See, Adonai has put a king over you.
And now behold, the king whom ye have chosen, whom ye have asked for! and behold, Jehovah has set a king over you.
Now, here is the king you chose. The Lord put this king over you.

All right, here is the king you have chosen. You asked for him, and the Lord has granted your request.
Now see the king you have chosen, the king you have asked for. See, the Lord has given you a king.
See, here is the king whom you have chosen, for whom you have asked; see, the Lord has set a king over you.
Now, therefore, lo! the king whom ye have chosen, for whom ye have asked, - lo! therefore, Yahweh hath set over you a king.
Now, therefore, your king is here, whom you have chosen and desired: Behold the Lord hath given you a king.
And now behold the king whom you have chosen, for whom you have asked; behold, the LORD has set a king over you.
"So here's the king you wanted, the king you asked for. God has let you have your own way, given you a king. If you fear God , worship and obey him, and don't rebel against what he tells you. If both you and your king follow God , no problem. God will be sure to save you. But if you don't obey him and rebel against what he tells you, king or no king, you will fare no better than your fathers.
"Now therefore, here is the king whom you have chosen, whom you have asked for, and behold, the LORD has set a king over you.

The men of the place asked him about his wife, and he said, "She is my sister," for he was afraid to say, "my wife"—thinking, "the men of the place might kill me on account of Rebekah, since she is very beautiful."

Now therefore behold the king whom ye have chosen, and whom ye have desired,.... For though God chose their king for them, it was at their request; they chose to have a king, and desired one, and they approved of and consented to, and confirmed the choice he had made, and so it was in effect their own:
and, behold, the Lord hath set a king over you; he gratified them in their desires; though he did not suffer them to make themselves a king, he suffered them to have one, and he gave them one; this power he reserved to himself of setting up and pulling down kings at his pleasure.
