Read the Bible

Prosperity Comes from the LORD.

¹ Unless the LORD ^(C1)builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the LORD ^(C2)guards the city,
The watchman keeps awake in vain. ^(VR1)

² It is vain for you to rise early,
To retire late,
To ^(C1)eat the bread of anxious labors—
For He gives blessings to His ^(C2)beloved ^(C3)even in his sleep.

³ Behold, ^(C1)children are a heritage and gift from the LORD,
The ^(C2)fruit of the womb a reward. ^(VR1)

⁴ Like arrows in the hand of a ^(C1)warrior,
So are the children of one's youth.

⁵ How ^(C1)blessed happy and fortunate is the man whose quiver is filled with them;
^(C2)They will not be ashamed
When they ^(C3)speak with their enemies in gatherings ^(C4)at the city gate.
