Psalms 98

   |

A Call to Praise the LORD for His Righteousness.

A (FA)Psalm.

1 O sing to the LORD a (C1)new song,
For He has done (C2)marvelous and wonderful things;
His (C3)right hand and His (C4)holy arm have (F1)gained the victory for Him.

2 (C1)The LORD has made known His salvation;
He has openly (C2)revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations. (VR1)

3 He has graciously (C1)remembered His lovingkindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
(C2)All the ends of the earth have witnessed the salvation of our God. (VR1)

4 (C1)Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth;
(C2)Shout in jubilation and sing for joy and sing praises.

5 Sing praises to the LORD with the (C1)lyre,
With the lyre and the (C2)sound of melody.

6 With (C1)trumpets and the sound of the horn
(C2)Shout with joy before (C3)the King, the LORD.

7 Let the (C1)sea thunder and roar, and all the things it contains,
The (C2)world and those who dwell in it.

8 Let the (C1)rivers clap their hands;
Let the (C2)mountains sing together for joy and delight

9 Before the LORD, for He is coming to (C1)judge the earth;
He will judge the world with righteousness
And (C2)the peoples with fairness.
