"These are the instructions for the Compensation-Offering. It is most holy. Slaughter the Compensation-Offering in the same place that the Whole-Burnt-Offering is slaughtered. Splash its blood against all sides of the Altar. Offer up all the fat: the fat tail, the fat covering the entrails, the two kidneys and the fat encasing them at the loins, and the lobe of the liver that is removed with the kidneys. The priest burns them on the Altar as a gift to God . It is a Compensation-Offering. Any male from among the priests' families may eat it. But it must be eaten in a holy place; it is most holy.

1 Likewyse this is the lawe of the trespasse offering: it is moste holy. 2 In the place where they kyll the burnt offering, shall they kyll the trespasse offering also, & the blood thereof shall he sprinckle rounde about vpon the aulter. 3 All the fat thereof shall he offer, the rumpe, and the fat that couereth the inwardes, 4 And the two kydneys, and the fat that is on them, and vpon the flankes, and the kall that is on the liuer shalt thou take away with the kydneys. 5 And the priest shall burne them vpon the aulter, to be a sacrifice made by fire vnto the Lorde: for it is a trespasse offering. 6 All the males among the priestes shall eate thereof: it shalbe eaten in the holy place, for it is most holy. 7 As the sinne offering is, so is the trespasse offering, one law serueth for both: that wherwith the priest shall make attonement, shalbe his. 8 And the priest that offereth any mans burnt offering, shall haue the skynne of ye burnt offering whiche he hath offred. 9 And all the meate offering that is baken in the ouen, and that is dressed in the panne, and in the frying panne, shalbe the priestes that offereth it. 10 And euery meate offering that is mingled with oyle, and that is drye, shall pertayne vnto all the sonnes of Aaron, and one shall haue as muche as another.

Likewise this [is] the law of the trespass [offering],.... Or the various rites and rules to be observed at the offering of it: the persons for whom it was to be made are described in the two preceding chapters, Leviticus 5:1 both such that sinned through ignorance, and knowingly, and here the place and parts of the offering, and how to be disposed of, are declared:

it [is] most holy; wholly devoted for sacred use, either to the Lord, or to his priests; there were some things the Jews call light holy things, and others most holy in the highest degree, of this sort was the trespass offering.

See Leviticus 5:14 note. In Leviticus 7:2 “sprinkle” should rather be cast Leviticus 1:5. All the details regarding the parts put on the altar are repeated for each kind of sacrifice, because the matter was one of paramount importance.
