THE MESSAGE
Offerings God spoke to Moses: "Command the People of Israel. Tell them, You're in charge of presenting my food, my Fire-Gifts of pleasing fragrance, at the set times. Tell them, This is the Fire-Gift that you are to present to God : two healthy yearling lambs each day as a regular Whole-Burnt-Offering. Sacrifice one lamb in the morning, the other in the evening, together with two quarts of fine flour mixed with a quart of olive oil for a Grain-Offering. This is the standard Whole-Burnt-Offering instituted at Mount Sinai as a pleasing fragrance, a Fire-Gift to God . The Drink-Offering that goes with it is a quart of strong beer with each lamb. Pour out the Drink-Offering before God in the Sanctuary. Sacrifice the second lamb in the evening with the Grain-Offering and Drink-Offering the same as in the morning—a Fire-Gift of pleasing fragrance for God . "On the Sabbath, sacrifice two healthy yearling lambs, together with the Drink-Offering and the Grain-Offering of four quarts of fine flour mixed with oil. 16“The Passover to the Lord comes in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month. 17On the fifteenth day of this month there will be a festival; unleavened bread is to be eaten for seven days. 18On the first day there is to be a sacred assembly; you are not to do any daily work. 19Present a fire offering, a burnt offering to the Lord: two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old. Your animals are to be unblemished. 20The grain offering with them is to be of fine flour mixed with oil; offer six quarts with each bull and four quarts with the ram. 21Offer two quarts with each of the seven lambs 22and one male goat for a sin offering to make atonement for yourselves. 23Offer these with the morning burnt offering that is part of the regular burnt offering. 24You are to offer the same food each day for seven days as a fire offering, a pleasing aroma to the Lord. The Passover offering was the same as that of the New moon, and was repeated on each of the seven days of the festival, thus marking the importance and the solemnity of the occasion. The details of the offering had not been previously prescribed.
