¹ These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi and Judah, Issachar and Zebulun, ² Dan, Joseph and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad and Asher. ³ The sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah: [which] three were born to him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. David the seventh - Jesse had eight sons, of whom David was the youngest 1 Samuel 16:10-11; 1 Samuel 17:12. Probably one of the sons shown to Samuel at Bethlehem did not grow up.
