Then Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, “May the Lord hold David’s enemies accountable.”
So Yonatan made a covenant with the house of David, [saying], the LORD will require it at the hand of David's enemies.
So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, Let the Lord even require it at the hand of David's enemies.
So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, "May Yahweh call the enemies of David to account."
And Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, "May the Lord take vengeance on David's enemies."
So Jonathan made an agreement with David. He said, "May the Lord hold David's enemies responsible."
and called David's enemies to account." So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David.
So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David. [He added,] "May the LORD require it at the hands of David's enemies. [that is, hold them accountable for any harm they inflict on David]."
So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, "May the LORD demand it from the hands of David's enemies."
So Ionathan made a bond with the house of Dauid, saying, Let the Lorde require it at the hands of Dauids enemies.
So Jonathan cut a covenant with the house of David, saying, "May Yahweh require it at the hands of David's enemies."
Jonathan and David made an agreement that even David's descendants would have to keep. Then Jonathan said, "I pray that the Lord will take revenge on your descendants if they break our promise."
Thus Y'honatan made a covenant with the family of David, adding, "May Adonai seek its fulfillment even through David's enemies."
So Jonathan made this agreement with David and his family, and he asked the Lord to hold them responsible for keeping it.
So Jonathans house shall flourish with the house of David; and may the LORD take vengeance on Davids enemies.
may our promise to each other still be unbroken. If it is broken, the Lord will punish you."
And Jonathan covenanted with the house of David, that Jehovah should seek it from the hand of David's enemies.
then let Dauid rote out Ionathas also with his house, and the LORDE requyre it of the hande of Dauids enemies.
So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, And Jehovah will require it at the hand of David's enemies.
And if it comes about that the name of Jonathan is cut off from the family of David, the Lord will make David responsible.
And so Ionathan made a bonde with the house of Dauid, [saying:] Let the lord require it at the handes of Dauids enemies.
So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David: 'The LORD even require it at the hand of David's enemies.'
So Ionathan made a couenant with the house of Dauid, saying, Let the Lord euen require it at the hande of Dauids enemies.
thou shalt not withdraw thy mercy from my house for ever: and if thou doest not, when the Lord cuts off the enemies of David each from the face of the earth, should it happen that the name of Jonathan be discovered by the house of David, then let the Lord seek out the enemies of David.
So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, [saying], And the LORD shall require it at the hand of David’s enemies.

Therfor Jonathas made boond of pees with the hows of Dauid, and the Lord souyte of the hond of enemyes of Dauid.
And Jonathan covenanteth with the house of David, and Jehovah hath sought [it] from the hand of the enemies of David;

Do not let the name of Jonathan be lost from the family of David. And may the Lord punish those who hate you."
Thus Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, "May the Lord seek out the enemies of David."
Thus Jonathan solemnised a covenant with the house of David saying , - So let Yahweh require it, at the hand of the enemies of David.
Jonathan therefore made a covenant with the house of David: and the Lord required it at the hands of David’s enemies.
let not the name of Jonathan be cut off from the house of David. And may the LORD take vengeance on David's enemies."
So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, "May the LORD require it at the hands of David's enemies."

An ear-ring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, is a wise reprover upon an attentive ear.

So Jonathan made [a covenant] with the house of David,.... Not with David himself only, which was now renewed, but with his family also:
[saying], let the Lord even require [it] at the hand of David's enemies; take vengeance on Jonathan, or on any of his posterity, should they break this covenant, by showing themselves enemies to David, and his crown; and, on the other hand, also on David, and his posterity, should they not show kindness to Jonathan and his seed, according to the tenor of this covenant.
