and [lest] you say in your heart, My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.
And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
And you may think in your heart, ‘My strength and the might of my hand acquired this wealth for me.'
Beware lest you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.'
You might say to yourself, "I am rich because of my own power and strength,"
Be careful not to say, "My own ability and skill have gotten me this wealth."
"Otherwise, you may say in your heart, 'My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth.'
"Otherwise, you may say in your heart, 'My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth.'
Beware least thou say in thine heart, My power, and the strength of mine owne hand hath prepared me this abundance.
lest you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand made me this wealth.'
When you become successful, don't say, "I'm rich, and I've earned it all myself."
you will think to yourself, ‘My own power and the strength of my own hand have gotten me this wealth.'
—and thou say in thy heart, My power and the might of my hand has procured me this wealth.
And you say in your heart, My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.
So then, you must never think that you have made yourselves wealthy by your own power and strength.
You may say to yourself, ‘My power and my own ability have gained this wealth for me,’
that you not say in your heart, My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.
and lest thou saye in thine hert: My power and the mighte of myne awne hande hath done me all this good:
and lest thou say in thy heart, My power and the might of my hand hath gotten me this wealth.
Say not then, in your hearts, My power and the strength of my hands have got me this wealth.
Lest thou shouldest say in thine heart, my power and the myght of myne owne hande hath prepared me this aboundaunce:
and thou say in thy heart: 'My power and the might of my hand hath gotten me this wealth.'
And thou say in thine heart, My power, and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
Lest thou shouldest say in thine heart, My strength, and the power of mine hand have wrought for me this great wealth.
and thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
You may say in your heart, "The power and the strength of my hand has made this wealth for me."
lest thou woldist seie in thin herte, My strengthe, and the myyt of myn hond yaf alle these thingis to me.
and thou hast said in thy heart, My power, and the might of my hand, hath made for me this wealth:
And you might say in your heart, My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.
And thou shalt say in thy heart, My power and the might of my hand hath gotten me this wealth.
and [lest] you say in your heart, My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.
then you say in your heart, "My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.'
He did all this so you would never say to yourself, ‘I have achieved this wealth with my own strength and energy.'
Be careful not to say in your heart, ‘My power and strong hand have made me rich.'
Do not say to yourself, "My power and the might of my own hand have gotten me this wealth."
and lest thou shouldest say in thy heart, - Mine own strength and the might of mine own hand, have gotten me this wealth.
Lest thou shouldst say in thy heart: My own might, and the strength of my own hand have achieved all these things for me.
Beware lest you say in your heart, 'My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.'
If you start thinking to yourselves, "I did all this. And all by myself. I'm rich. It's all mine!"—well, think again. Remember that God , your God, gave you the strength to produce all this wealth so as to confirm the covenant that he promised to your ancestors—as it is today.

God blessed all the living things in the sea and told them to have many babies and fill the seas. And he blessed the birds on land and told them to have many more babies.

And thou say in thine heart,.... These words are in connection with the former part of the Deuteronomy 8:14:
and thou forget the Lord thy God; the author and giver of all the good things enjoyed, and think within themselves, though they might not express it in words at length:
my power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth; so ascribing that to themselves, their labour, and diligence, which ought to be ascribed to the bounty and blessing of God; see Hosea 12:8.
