“Son of man, face Pharaoh king of Egypt and prophesy against him and against all of Egypt.

Here I am, standing by this well of water, and the young women from the city are coming out to get water.
Then Jacob said, "How is he?" They answered, "He is well. Look, that is his daughter Rachel coming now with his sheep."
Jacob said, "Look, it is still day and long before the sun sets. It is not yet time for the animals to be gathered together for the night. So give them water and let them go back into the field."
One day Laban said to Jacob, "You are a relative of mine. It is not right for you to continue working for me without pay. What should I pay you?"
Now Laban had two daughters. The older was Leah and the younger was Rachel.
He gives me green pastures to lie in. He leads me by calm pools of water.
They will not be hungry or thirsty. The hot sun and wind will not hurt them. Their Comforter will lead them. He will lead them by springs of water.
Jacob's well was there. Jesus was tired from his long trip, so he sat down beside the well. It was about noon.
But anyone who drinks the water I give will never be thirsty again. The water I give people will be like a spring flowing inside them. It will bring them eternal life."

Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt,.... Pharaoh was a name common to all the kings of Egypt; the name of this king was Pharaohhophra, Jeremiah 44:30, and who, by Herodotus x, is called Apries:
and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt; prophesy of his destruction, and of the destruction of the whole land that is under his dominion.

Verse Ezekiel 29:2. Set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt — This was Pharaoh-hophra or Pharaoh-apries, whom we have so frequently met with in the prophecies of Jeremiah, and much of whose history has been given in the notes.
