Jattir: Jattir or Jether, according to Eusebius, was situated in the district of Daroma, or the southern part of Judah, 20 miles - south from Eleutheropolis, towards the city of Malatha. Joshua 15:48, 1 Samuel 30:27, 1 Samuel 30:28
Eshtemoa: Eusebius says Eshtemoa, or Esthema, was a great city in the south of Judah, and in the district of Eleutheropolis, north of that city. Joshua 15:50, Eshtemoh

Abraham complained to Abimelech about a well which the servants of Abimelech had seized.
And so the place was called Beersheba, because it was there that the two of them made a vow.
Then Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba and worshiped the Lord , the Everlasting God.
Early the next morning Abraham cut some wood for the sacrifice, loaded his donkey, and took Isaac and two servants with him. They started out for the place that God had told him about.
Abraham went back to his servants, and they went together to Beersheba, where Abraham settled.

The thirteen priestly cities (see the marginal references) were all in the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin. Thus, as Calvin remarks, God so overruled it that the priestly families were placed upon the spot which He had determined before hand to choose as the site of His temple.
