Contextual Overview
1 And Job answered and said: 2 Truly I know it is so; but how can man be just with God? 3 If he would argue with Him, he cannot answer Him one of a thousand. 4 He is wise in heart and mighty in strength; who has been hard against Him and been at peace? 5 He who moves the mountains, and they do not know; when He overturns them in His anger; 6 who shakes the earth out of its place, and its pillars tremble; 7 the One speaking to the sun and it does not rise; and He sets a seal around the stars; 8 stretching out the heavens by Himself, and walking on the waves of the sea; 9 who made the Bear, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south; 10 who is doing great things past finding out; yea, marvelous things without number?

Gill's Notes on the Bible
Then Job answered and said. Without taking notice of Bildad's harsh expressions and severe censures, or his unfriendliness to him; he enters directly into the argument, grants some things, confutes others, and defends himself and his conduct.
Clarke's Notes on the Bible
