Those Who Sow in Tears Shall Reap with Joy

¹ When Yahweh ^(F1)(C1)returned ^(F2)the captive ones of Zion,
We were ^(C2)like those who dream.

² Then our ^(C1)mouth was filled with laughter
And our ^(C2)tongue with shouts of joy;
Then they said among the nations,
"Yahweh has ^(C3)done great things for them."

³ Yahweh has done great things for us;
We are ^(C1)glad.

⁴ Restore our captivity, O Yahweh,
As the ^(F1)(C1)streams in the Negev.

⁵ Those who sow in ^(C1)tears shall reap with ^(C2)shouts of joy.

⁶ He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed,
Shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, carrying his sheaves with him.
