God Is My Helper

¹ O God, save me by ^(C1)Your name,
And render justice to me by ^(C2)Your might.

^2 (C1)O God, hear my prayer;
^(C2)Give ear to the words of my mouth.

³ For strangers have ^(C1)risen against me
And ^(C2)ruthless men have ^(C3)sought my ^(F1)life;
They have ^(C4)not set God before them. ^Selah may mean Pause, Crescendo, Musical Interlude">(F2)Selah.

⁴ Behold, ^(C1)God is my helper;
The Lord is among those who ^(C2)sustain my soul.

⁵ He will ^(C1)return the evil to my foes;
^(C2)Destroy them ^(C3)in Your truth.

^6 (C1)With a freewill offering I will sacrifice to You;
I will give ^(C2)thanks to Your name, O Yahweh, for it is good.

⁷ For ^(F1)He has ^(C1)delivered me from all ^(F2)distress,
And my eye has ^(C2)looked in triumph upon my enemies.
